Logitech Control Center 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)

F12 key doesn't open optical drive tray anymore

I had to revert to version 2.1.4, because a prolonged press of the F12 key doesn't open the optical drive tray anymore. Now short or prolonged F12 just invokes Dashboard, whereas in 2.1.4 and earlier, the key has both duties. I use a Cordless iTouch Keyboard with OS 10.4.10 on a Power Mac G5. Also in their infinite wisdom, Logitech renamed the kernel extension from LogitechUSBHIDevices.kext to LogitechHIDDevices.kext. So make sure to deinstall the 2.2.2 before installing reinstalling 2.1.4, otherwise the 2.2.2 extension will still be present and in control. [alert admin]

xCHM 1.13 (Mac OS X)

No support for all styled text

I have some .chm files where xchm doesn't render italic, red coloured, or other styled text, while Chamonix does it just fine. These are technical books where these text enhancements are essential for comprehension, so xchm promptly went to the trash. Also, no support for page up/page down keys is very annoying. Compactor 0.8 (Mac OS X)

Unrelated to the old Compactor I guess

In the pre-Mac OS X era, there was a famous compressor called Compactor, which was later renamed Compact Pro. It eventually faded into oblivion, never had an OS X version AFAIK, but it was a good product. [alert admin]

Iceberg 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)

A real time saver

Compared to PackageMaker, that is. And with more functionality. And a much better interface. And a price which can't be beaten. If it didn't already exist, it would have to be invented :) [alert admin]

Wrong URL above…

for the Mac version, it points to version 3... Here's the correct one: http://download.dataviz.com/documentstogo/upgrade/documentstogopro4003aok.smi.bin (Windows version looks wrong too by the way...) [alert admin]

Excellent program, but no sign of 2.2 on developers site?

Actually if you go directly to the developer site ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/osxvnc/ ), you'll notice version 2.2 there. The Version Tracker links need an update. Also on redstonesoftware.com's site, the download link still directs to version 2.1; update needed too! What I couldn't find is what's new or fixed in this release...

Too expensive!

>Another example of a developer pricing himself out of the market... The only other driver on the market is USB Overdrive, which also costs $20. However it hasn't been updated for a year, and seriously lags SteerMouse now. I'm a registered user of USB Overdrive, but I'll have to buy SteerMouse too, since it fully supports my new Razer mouse, support which has been promised in USB Overdrive but doesn't arrive...

A COUPLE OF PROBLEMS

For the back/front arrows, I had the same issue, try this: View menu -> Toolbars -> Custmize... And hit the Restore default set button. They'll be back. I had customised version 0.7's toolbar, maybe that's the source of the problem?
