Dialectic 1.4.2 (Mac OS X)

Dialectic Rocks

I love the built-in support for dialing the AddressBook with Quicksilver, as well as the AddressBook plug-in, and being able to dial any phone number on a web page or email. It works beautifully with Google Voice! Very nice!!! [alert admin]

Knox 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Sparseimages

Hangnail, yes, normal disk images are fixed file sizes. However Apple's Disk Utility can also create Sparse disk images, which, like filevault, grows and shrinks are it needs according to the disk image contents, so as not to waste unused disk space. Filevault is actually a sparse disk image file. So this utility seems to put a nice GUI on Apple Disk Utility to manage sparse disk images. So far, I see no compelling reason to ditch Apple Disk Utility. In this case at least, FREE is GOOD. [alert admin]

pearLyrics 0.6 (Mac OS X)

Excellent - and still alive

In spite of efforts to kill it, this amazing product can thankfully still be downloaded from http://www.macparc.ch/mirror/pearLyrics/pearLyricsV0_6.dmg [alert admin]

TechTool Pro 4.0.4 (Mac OS X)

My problem was with Omniweb, not the TT update

Seems the problem I had expanding the tt404u.bin file was not with the file itself, but with OmniWeb's refusal to download it as tt404.dmg , which Safari did without any problems. Two stars extra to balance out the low review given previously [alert admin]

TechTool Pro 4.0.4 (Mac OS X)

Nothing

When Stuffit Expander decodes the 15 MB tt404u.bin file, I get an empty folder. Downloaded it again from a different server, and the same thing happens. Weird! Something is clearly not right with this update. [alert admin]

bloated and invasive

MacGPG is free, open-source, and probably better integrated into Mail apps for your needs. I expect it will do everything you need.
