WMF Viewer 2.5 (Mac OS X)

Tried it but...

I d/l and tried this app to see if it would do what I need. I launched it, after a few seconds, it crashed. I trashed it and then thought, maybe I did something wrong and opened the dmg again, launched it again, opened a sample wmf file ( anatomy > 1292632.wmf ). I spent about 15 seconds the, it crashed again.

Comcast Mobile App 1.0 (iPhone)

Do NOT bother...

This application crashes on my iPhone 3G everytime. I have downloaded it no less than four times and each time I get the app icon but when I select it, the splash screen pops up and then clears... nothing else. I though that I had gotten a bad download via my computer but I get the same thing directly from the iTunes store. Not worth the time. [alert admin]

jalada's Malliouhana 1.0.1c (Mac OS X)

Shows possibilities...

I had tried v1.0.1_ but found it problematic so I tossed it. It launched VERY SLOWLY, appeared to hang on occasions, this C version does launch slowly but does not appear to hang. However, sometimes when clicking on one tile another is selected. I have tried it more than the one time because of the developers statement that it helps keep mental acuity; however, the instructions for that purpose seems to be very unclear. The price is also pretty high for a simple matching game. [alert admin]

iDrone 1.2 (Mac OS X)

First Flight Simulator I can get into the air.

My title pretty well sums it up. Since it does not observe the laws of physics, I do have a basic rudimentary understanding of what to do. A climb/descent rate would be nice. A real altimeter would be helpful also. Several other flight indicators would be great. However, I enjoyed getting it off of the ground and somewhat flying. [alert admin]

QIF Master 6.6 (Mac OS X)

RE: Interface

While I love the "eye candy" of most Mac applications, I would prefer that the developer continue to concentrate on functionality, speed and accuracy. I have had plenty of applications that are pretty but don't do the job, this product does its job. I don't want to spend a lot of time changing formats to use a product that should do the same job for me but does not (Q*k*n) I have owned a license for at least two years, now and only wish that the other company had their head on straight. Don't waste my time on a pretty interface. [alert admin]

MarketBuddy 1.1.5 (Mac OS X)

Shareware?

I downloaded the software and activated very easily. I checked the different functions and thought that it might be useful to keep contacts in a single place. Then I looked at the shareware price posted on the web: MarketBuddy License $ 195 Software Marketing Contacts $ 295 Combined Purchase Discount $ 50 Total $ 440 My inbox has been deluged with people selling contact lists. This is a novel way to market them. [alert admin]

X-Plane 8.50b5 (Mac OS X)

I tried...

to look at X-plane. I started the installation process at 3:02 pm PDT, at 6:22 pm, I canceled the download as it had only completed 50% and was complaining about files it could not download. I was curious what it was all about. I am no longer curious. [alert admin]

BeeCells 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Will not respond.

My first attempt at downloading ended up with the message BeeCell.zip busy notice. I d/l again and was sucessful. However, upon launching, it just sits in the dock after a LONG (bouncing) launch period. Holding on the icon in the dock reveals the message Application Not Responding. I visited the developer site, dowloaded Bee Cell 3d and it also gives an application not responding error. Mac OS X 10.4.7 [alert admin]

Developer responsiveness

I d/l'd 11.7.4, had an issue about which I contacted the developer by going to his website. I got a quick response back and after I clarified the problem got a very quick revision (i.e., untested version of the software) which addressed the problem that I was having. After confirming it solved the problem, I purchased the software. I still have issues with banners not being displayed on five day week calendars but I still recommend the software. [alert admin]

OmniDazzle 1.0 beta 2 (Mac OS X)

RE: Nice but...

Thanks to the Keynote users list, I find that it does work with Keynote but the preference for allowing expose and dashboard to work lets OmniDazzle to work on top of it. I'll have to play with it before buying though. Bob [alert admin]

Shows possibilities...

I wanted to add that both versions seemed to sit on the dock bouncing very often (more than 12 times) plus would seem like it crashed with NO indication that it was active. I use Spaces with games assigned to the same space. This application did finally appear in the appropriate space. The command-tab switcher allowed me to see that the program was active but did not show in any space until approximately 20 -…

Price Shown

I happily paid the $15 shareware price and have enjoyed many hours of videos off line that I could not have seen without FLVR/Videobox. I have used both and it gets better and better.

Eudora and everything else crashes now

I have been running 10.4.8 since it was available. I have had no problems at all. Just a quick check, have you run Disk Utiltity and repaired permissions? It might be wise to do so from the original install disk since "everything else crashes," it appears as though you might have problems there.

Simply Spectacular ...

Too bad it does not include 10.3. Rather limits some of us with older Macs we would like to use as security appliances.

Why does it forget?

I have been using GC for several years and have yet to have it forget on my PowerBooks. Maybe I am just lucky.
