FontNuke 1.1.5 (Mac OS X)

Fail to Nuke Fonts

Okay the final outcome!!! The number count on Jan-8-2009 was 1.0750685e+6 (way over a million) and after 16 DAYS it crashed, bummer. This second run started back on Dec-25-08 (see other posted messages), and really u can't use the computer while the font caches is doing it update thing, very sluggish. And u can NOT Nuke the Fonts unless you hit the updates button. If you happen to crash, then you're back to zero. I tried both the Admin-free and normal Font Nuke updates list. This time I did not want to take the chance of it crashing again, so I left the computer alone. I have screen save on, but the hard drive set on never sleep. I would check status once in awhile to see if it was still going. I used this iMac for graphic design, since 2003, I ran OS9 classic and switched over to Tiger in 2005 when I had new software, may be that is why it won't work? I will do a re-install Tiger today. Whether it that gets rid of font caches I don't now? With all the great reviews on Font Nukes I was really hoping it get the job done. And I'm also disappointed not hear from my postings and alert message to this site manager. FYI: I do not recommend this program with my kind of situation, I have wasted almost a month on this. FontNuke 1.1.5 (Mac OS X)

1-05-09 Running Font Nuke

I've been running just Font Nuke for 12 days with the applied Admin-Free update and I'm not kidding– it is still finding font caches. The count so far is 814541 and still ticking. How long will it run? I wish I knew more about this program. Hoping it works this time around. I have posted a few times before on this subject. I wish I could stop the updating part and Nuke the font caches it already has found. This program crashed on me on Christmas eve and there were over a million files found. So, I had to start all over again. If this is normal I would love hear from you. or any other suggestions. Thanks [alert admin]

FontNuke 1.1.5 (Mac OS X)

Nuke Font 1.1.5 Jake Pietryfowski

I posted before on 12-25-08 on this subject Since then I've been running Admin-Free update for the pass WEEK on my other computer. I have a counted so far. 457,000 font file caches. Can't see all the files in the window, but the ones I can see go back to when I purchased the imac in 2003. So there's a lot caches. My question is Is this normal time for this program to run? Can you Nuke the fonts caches without updating? Is there alternatives? The last time I ran Nuke Font–there was way over 1,000,000 files and then it crashed, which the does a 1.0000000 and some letters after that, may be it to much DATA? If anybody has info on this program or had same problem PLEASE I really would appreciate a response. THANKS [alert admin]

Nuke Font 1.1.5 Jake Pietryfowski

I had a Safari problem on my iMac 2003 running Tiger 1.4.11 Safari kept crashing, so I found some advise to run font book then run Font Nuke. Running this program basically rendered my computer useless, because I tried to back a file I needed on CD while the program was running for about 3 days, and it crashed. So, I ran the program again and did not touch it for one week. It was updating the list and last count was over 1,000,000 caches. I had screen saver running, but nothing else. I went this morning and there was message application has closed, to you want to reopen. So now back where I started, Is there something I'm doing wrong? It had lost all that updating data. PLEASE ADVISE-THANKS By the the way All my other applications were running fine including FireFox, just Sarafi was giving me problems. [alert admin]
