I use this software to create the disc images for Alarm Clock. It has worked flawlessly for me since I got it. Plus, it is so much easier than trying to use the standard apple tools. You can save projects, and when you need to release a new version, just copy the new app into the filestorm window, click finalize, and you're done!
An interesting note: before I got this software my disc images for my application were around 5.1M. Using filestorm with the same content, they end up around 4.8M! [alert admin]

You mentioned you ran an apple software update. Did you restart your computer after this? If so, you need to make sure the alarm clock application is set to launch at login. (The app can't wake you up if it's not running) This is easy to setup in alarm clock's preferences. Also, the application has never been in the system preferences. Are you thinking about other alarm software? Did you do anything…

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The bug was due to recent updates to the German localization. It should have only affected those using the German localization in version 2.4.4. It has now been fixed. -Robbie Hanson

Would it be possible? Yes it would! And this feature is now built-in to version 2.4.3. Thanks for the feature request.

Sure it sounds cool to be able to wake up via your wireless connection to some remote speakers. But you should be asking yourself: Is this a good idea? This is an alarm clock, and stability is #1. Think about what happens if your iTunes library is set to play to remote speakers, but the speakers are unavailable. What happens? iTunes pops up an error message and nothing happens. …

Actually, I decided that simply disabling the red finder button was a bit of a "cop out." The standard (and recommended) way of dealing with changes is to "badge" the red finder button with a black dot, indicating there are unsaved changes. So this is what I did. When editing an alarm, if the alarm is changed the red finder window will receive a black dot. Trying to close an alarm…

This was a known bug in version 2.2.1 that would occur if the user had multiple playlists with the same name. (Which is allowed in iTunes... most people don't know that.) This issue has been resolved in version 2.2.2.

An excellent suggestion to return the system volume to it's original level after an alarm is stopped. Therefore, I've implemented this feature in version 2.2.

Uncheck optional sample alarms in iTunes ![]()

The sample alarms that come with the application are optional. If you want to, you may add them to iTunes, which in turn will allow you to use them in the alarm clock application. If you don't want to have them ever play in iTunes, then simply uncheck them in iTunes. (The check box next to the name of the song) That way they won't ever be played, unless you specifically double-click them.…

It seems you have the "Require password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver" option enabled. This is in "System Preferences" -> "Security".
When this option is set, the OS requires the user to manually enter his/her password. If this is not done in approximately 45 seconds, it forces the computer to resume sleeping. There is no way for the application to enter this for you. (If there was, Mac…
