I smell fish...

... but of course it is merely a coincidence if the last 2 reviewers registered the same day this app was released to write top-rated posts. [alert admin]

ASCII Viewer 2.9 (Mac OS X)

Paying money for that?

One has just to enter "ascii" in the VT software search window to find several free programs that will do what this rip-off claims, not to mention typing man ascii in Terminal. [alert admin]

ITunes Current Song Menu 1.5 (Mac OS X)

What they say about

Better off using an app called 'iController' - it's free and scrolls for you - couple that with 'Dock Art' and it's iTunes heaven. : what's the point in using this on OS X 10.4 or even 10.3 for that matter? Tiger has it's own iTunes controller dashboard widget which does all this. And if you're not on Tiger, you can simply use the slim controller window in iTunes itself... This company makes lots of useless programs, and thinks people will buy them??? : Another fine product from AlphaOmega Shovelware! I can think of no fewer than three products that provide similar or identical functionality (SizzlingKeys, iScrobbler, and Synergy Classic) and two of those are free. (As a user of iScrobbler *and* Synergy Classic, I have too many freakin' menus as it is.) Granted, this one will pop open a Google search for the song lyrics, but that's not saying much. Compare the screenshot on this page: http://www.yellowmug.com/sk4it/ with the one provided below. Which piece of software seems to have more thought and time and work put into it? And which one is free? Curious, that. : Try RecentTunes, it's free and does more. [alert admin]

Internet Reconnector 2.6 (Mac OS X)

No need to pay for this

If you really need an application for this, Auto-Reconnect - 050618 reestablishes Internet connection if it drops and is free. [alert admin]

Namely 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Excellent with reserves

Excellent but it needs some way to call it to front when needed. Too bad we've to go to the dock each time we need it. Kinda defeats the purpose of the program, as I can open an application (almost) as fast using XMenu (We're speaking tenths of seconds here). [alert admin]

Comparison with Keyclick

This program costs $19.00, not $5.00... A complete rip-off.

Plural of "dwarf" is...

Did a bit of research.. indeed the plural form was "dwarf" until Tolkien came with the form "dwarves" which become an acceptable alternative, albeit with a nuanced meaning. From Wikipedia: Dwarf is an interesting case: the common form of the plural was dwarfs — as, for example, in Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs — until J. R. R. Tolkien popularised dwarves; he intended the changed spelling to differentiate the "dwarf" race in his…

Plural of "dwarf" is...

Checking my Webster's dictionnary, they list "dwarves" as an alternative spelling for plural. It would be interesting to do some research to check if the form originated with Tolkien or if it became popular after the release his works. Any linguist here?

Plural of "dwarf" is...

In English, the plural of "dwarf" is "dwarfs". The plural form "dwarves" originated with J.R.R. Tolkien (see The Lord of the Rings, Appendix F for details). It is a quite acceptable spelling in a fantasy world game. Now, by the way, what about the game?
