DragStrip for Mac 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)

The end is near?

I've been using Dragstrip for years and have been quite happy with it. With the release of Leopard, I wanted to see if there were any compatibility issues. The only issue I think is that this product no longer exists. There is no sign of it anywhere on Allume's website (a lot of their internal links don't even work). I posted in their support forum several years ago about an issue I was having -- there was never a response. The last update was 2003. So I guess it's time to look at Dragthing. I hope it's as good as Dragstrip is. I see these folks also make VMFusion; based on this experience, I'll be buying Parallels instead. It's silly to constantly upgrade software to generate income, but I guess when you take it as far as it can (or should) go, then it's time to abandon it, no matter how good it is. [alert admin]

TopCalculette Pro 4.6 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

loses reg info

I've loved & used this product for a long time, but the Panther version doesn't hold my registration info. I'm constantly re-entering it. My first e-mail to RubenSoft went unanswered; the second one was answered but didn't solve the problem. No response since then. Anyone else have this problem, and if so how did you solve it? NoZoom 1.1 (Mac OS X)

It works! I…

had tried TinkerTools, but that didn't work. Now if someone would make an app/PrefPane to enable double arrows at both ends of the scroll bar, I could trash TinkerTool for good. [alert admin]

I couldn't get…

this product to work. Tech support is fee-based AND long distance charges apply. Thankfully, they will take it back and refund my money, so I'm only out the shipping charges and the hour I spent diddling around with it. [alert admin]

Version 1.2 incompatible with 1.0fc1..?

Try deleting your preferences file in the Preferences folder: com.linotype.FontExplorerX.plist (or some variation thereof) then re-launch FEX

Nope, they blew it.

So sad to hear this. I've been waiting for the converter, but I guess I'll just stick with my existing copy of PO until it becomes incompatible with OS X version who knows what. Why do developers insist on tinkering with a product until it's no longer useful? My only complaints with PO is that you can't have more than two banners on a date, and you can't individually color them (I know about categories; I want…
