MenuCalendarClock for iCal 3.1.3 (Mac OS X)
This is an all-around excellent application. I've been using it for well over a year, and haven't had any problem with it, especially the problems others have noted for v3.1.2.
One thing I have noticed in those negative reviews is that they have birthday syncing turned on in MCC. DO NOT DO THIS, especially if iCal is already syncing birthdays from Address Book. Basically, you wind up with iCal and MCC fighting for control of the Birthday calendar, which can be a bad thing.
This is probably the cause of the resource hogging and other problems noted in the v3.1.2 reviews.
I highly recommend this app. [alert admin]

Jammin' Racer 1.4 (Mac OS X)
Would love to try this game, because the screenshots look great. The manual even mentions running the game on a slower G3 machine, so I figured my 1Ghz G4 should easily be able to handle it.
Wrong.
After 10 minutes of staring at a black screen and listening to the intro song, I hit Command-Q and dragged this folder to the trash. [alert admin]

OldFolder 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
1. Drag the folder you want to the Dock.
2. Right-click on the folder, and choose "Display as: Folder".
3. Right-click on the folder again, and choose "View content as: List".
4. Enjoy.
I have successfully viewed hierarchical folders up to five levels deep, from the Dock, using this method.

Apple AirPort Admin Utility for Graphite & Snow 4.2.5 (Mac OS X)
Finally, but now second-class citizen
Good to see that Apple finally got their heads out of their a**es regarding the Graphite and Snow AirPort BaseStations. Or, maybe it was an "Oh, s**t!" moment when they realized that people were still using the lowly 802.11b Snow and Graphite models.
But now, it looks like owners of these models are second-class citizens in the eyes of Apple. Couldn't Apple have included support for these models in the current release of the Airport software just as easily as issuing a stand-alone product?
Separate, but equal...

SafariStand 3.0L155 (Mac OS X)
After backing up my boot drive, wiping it, and doing a fresh install of Leopard (as opposed to the upgrade from Tiger that I had been running), I'm finally able to get SafariStand running.
A couple of notes for others who might be having trouble. Firstly, as has been mentioned elsewhere, make absolutely sure that you have SIMBL 0.8.2 installed. In my previous troubles, I had SIMBL 0.8.2 installed, and SafariStand wasn't working for me, but - first things first. Check your SIMBL installation.
Secondly, make sure that you're installing SafariStand.bundle in the correct location. During the installation this time, I noticed that I couldn't find a "Plugins" folder in /Library/InputManagers/SIMBL. That's because that's the wrong location for installation! Make sure that you're installing SafariStand.bundle into /Library/ApplicationSupport/SIMBL/Plugins. I'm not sure if I was making this mistake before I wiped and re-installed, but if I was making it this time, there's a good chance I was making it before. Lesson: READ the instructions, just don't gloss over them.
Thirdly, if you're still having problems, consider the wipe/re-install route. It's a pain, but it could be the key to getting SafariStand to work for you.

SafariStand 3.0L154 (Mac OS X)
Still No Joy In Leopard (10.5.1)
iMac G4/1Ghz, 512MB RAM, SIMBL 0.8.2.
Still can't get SafariStand to work, even after using the Terminal permissions commands. InputManagers.app was finally able to fix permissions on two other InputManager plug-ins (Ecamm - I assume this to be iChatUSBCam, and Chax), but not SafariStand.
Still no joy in Leopard for me - which is unfortunate, since I really like the functionality that SafariStand offered.
I recommend SafariStand if you can get it to work for you, and wish that Apple would get the hint and offer an option for Safari to force "_blank" pages to open in a new tab, instead of a new window. [alert admin]

YouTube Video Grabber 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Don't Pay For A One-Trick Pony
Go get yourself a copy of Visual Hub. This is an essential tool that every Mac user should own. Now, download the .flv file to your desktop by opening the activities window when loading a YouTube video, clicking on the largest file in that window, and pasting it into the Downloads window in Safari. Then, drag the downloaded file into the Visual Hub window, choose your settings, and convert. Yeah, you can do this with iSquint (also made by Techspansion) which is free, but it's another one-trick pony. Do yourself a favor, and get Visual Hub - If you were going to pay for this app, spend the extra $7-$8 and buy that one instead. You'll be glad you did. [alert admin]

Kensington MouseWorks 3.0r1 (Mac OS X)
Ok, Steve - it's been almost a year and a half since I accused Kensington/ACCO brands of lying about forthcoming features. In that time, I see that you've been hard at work, producing new versions and adding features like mad.
Oh, wait - that's your competitor. Sorry 'bout that.
You once asked for feedback about features users would like to see added. At a minimum, I would have thought that the functionality of the OS 8/9 driver would have been a good starting place. I also suggested a few in my last comment - scrolling vertically AND horizontally with mouse movement and smooth scrolling. Another user replied and suggested restricting mouse pointer movement to the horizontal/vertical access via a modifier key. 17+ months later, nada.
Kensington MouseWorks - Time of Death: 05/31/2006.
For what it's worth, I held on with my analog Orbit until I couldn't clean it anymore and it stopped working. I replaced it with a laser Logitech MouseMan Wheel about 6 months ago, and I haven't looked back. And when it comes time to replace my Apple Keyboard, you can bet it won't be a Kensington one I look at for a replacement - I can't take the chance that my driver will suddenly lose features and then become abandonware. Flock 0.9.1.3 (Mac OS X)
This browser is almost painfully slow. Page load times were 3 to 5 times longer than Safari Beta 3. I ran both, side by side, and Safari loaded and rendered all my pages significantly faster than Flock. This cannot be attributed to a network or server-end problem - this has to be a problem with the browser itself.
If the developer can improve performance, the features would be a sell for me. As it is, the speed (or lack thereof) is a major deal-breaker.
I do not recommend this application
Developer: Try again.
Consumer: Look elsewhere, unless you don't mind dragging your feet through the internet.
I rated 2 stars on Ease of Use due to the speed issue.
I rated 4 stars on Support/Documentation - the website has a wealth of information.
I rated 5 stars on Features.
I rated 1 star on Quality/Stability due to speed and lack of feedback about processing information when importing.
I rated 5 stars on Price - it's hard to beat free. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 7.4.2 (Mac OS X)
Dear Apple, Can you explain to me why I have to agree to two SLA's every time I upgrade iTunes? One when I install, and another when I launch the updated app for the first time? Especially when it's the same damn SLA that I already agreed to? No love, Me [alert admin]

The syrinx is also the vocal organ of a bird, consisting of thin vibrating muscles at or close to the division of the trachea into the bronchi.

And, "Cancer" is also the name of a zodiac sign and a constellation - both of which had their names long before the disease. Should we accuse the ancients of making a bad name choice? I, for one, am proud to be a Cancer.

And the federal government can still bust you, with or without a doctor's prescription, and with or without a state law regulating and permitting the sale and use thereof.
Agreed - this is rubbishware.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe (since Chax is a free product), that the developer might not be able to afford Leopard yet, and so he's still working on Tiger.10?
I didn't think so.

I think you may be confused as to what, exactly, Edgies is. Because, why are you copying apps to the note?
It seems to me that you think Edgies are a tabbed launcher of some sort. Nothing could be further from the truth. A careful (heck, even a cursory) reading of the description shows that Ediges are an alternative to Stickes, and AFAIK, you wouldn't use Stickies as a launcher.
You're asking Edgies to do something it…

For a similar app with menubar (instead of Dock) display, you may want to check out Moon Menu.
I've been using it for years (since OS 8.6) with no complaints - it's rock-solid and does what it says.

I'm not sure what's more offensive to me:
What the heck is YOUR problem? You know, I'm fed up with people like you who want to impose their morality and sensibilities on others. *launches Bullet* Here! Take that! And that! Look, it's a program. A tiny little thing designed to relieve stress, that (hopefully) someone uses instead of a REAL gun. And here's a little idea - if you don't like it, don't download it! Oh, wait - you didn't. And yet you felt compelled…
