No Frills DVD2iPod 2.2 (Mac OS X)
I encoded a few TV episodes last night to watch on a transatlantic flight today. One of them cut out seven minutes in for some reason, though the rest were perfect, hence the four star rating. It's very strange; all are around the same size (120MB or so); it seems that one particular episode was encoded as a bad MP4 or something. [alert admin]

PCSX 1.5.0 test 3 (Mac OS X)
I've been watching Gil develop this project for the last while. He has put together an extremely solid emulator for a first release; sure, it's not perfect, but it's head and shoulders above its competition in the OS X world. Hopefully he'll achieve VGS-level compatibility at some point in the future. [alert admin]

RockNES 4.0 (Mac OS X)
RockNES 4 outputs Pseudo-Stereo sound. It is currently not configurable (but I'll put that on my to-do list). [alert admin]

vMac is currently at v0.1.9c. Perhaps VT meant to update "Mini vMac" instead. [alert admin]

Audio Overload 2.0b2 (Mac OS X)
No - it's nothing to do with StuffIt. Unfortunately, the RAR decoding library I'm using does not support RAR3 format files. See http://www.unrarlib.org/. [alert admin]

Emulator Enhancer 1.5 (Mac OS X)
If you downloaded this in the first hour or so of release and Full Screen Mode does not work for you, please redownload; I inadvertently uploaded a broken binary. Sorry about that. [alert admin]

KiGB 1.2.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
way to reduce CPU usage and retain OS 9 compatibility without compromising the smoothness of the emulator or sound quality. Fundamentally KiGB is designed to play games -- using 100% of the CPU is something that games do. [alert admin]

Cacophony 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)
it does. It's a difficult one, but to be honest requiring an Internet connection to register makes piracy MUCH harder - people can't just enter a fake serial number any more. [alert admin]

Cacophony 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)
RAM. Cacophony requires a LOT of RAM. To give you an idea, on my machine a 58MB AIFF opens in about 15 seconds (G4/450). However, I have 1GB of RAM. [alert admin]

Oh dear, it looks like I've got one unhappy user here.
Let me begin by saying that there was no hidden motive in me removing all the previous versions of my software from my web site when I released Emulator Enhancer 2.0. Throughout the history of my site I have only ever distributed the latest releases of my software, in common with the vast majority of other publishers on the Internet. Along similar lines, when I…

Drop me an e-mail and I'll send it across, though you should be aware that 1.x isn't compatible with the latest emulators. This is something I would have avoided if I could, but unfortunately the migration to Xcode necessitated a change in the underlying API.

An update to my earlier impression; of the six episodes I encoded, only one made it through to the end. All the others stalled the iPod at different times, some as much as twenty minutes in, others earlier on. I guess there's a bug in there somewhere...

A dual 1.xx G4 is not sufficient. Cycle exact emulation is by its very nature processor intensive. A dual 1.42GHz G4 can achieve about 20fps with BSNES, and I chose to require a G5 simply because the emulator will not be any fun at all on lower end machines.

Ditto - won't run on my G5, with the Sound Tool could not be opened. (-7403) error. I'm using the optical out port for sound. If I change my sound output to internal speakers it will work.
