DVDpedia 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)

Label Integration?

Fine product. Best of its kind. I'm a registered user and look forward to future updates. In addition to everything else, I love the details when I am printing a catalog of my library. It very efficient when guests ask, "what movies do you have?" I smile and hand them a long paper list including pictures of the dvd covers ;-) I have recently gotten into making my own home videos (of the family and such). I also keep a catalog of these movies using DVDpedia. I am wondering if there is a way to print the movies information (title, genre, cover image, etc.) directly onto a dvd label. As of right now I am having to manually make my own covers using an external graphics program (Adobe PS). I hope that my question is clear. If not, please reply and I will explain further. Once again, thanks for your dedication in making this software top of the line. [alert admin]

3D Spades Deluxe 3.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Download link broken?

I must agree with the other comments here and say that I love Freeverse products. Spades being my favorite card game makes me partial to this particular app. I have been using an older version (3.2.1) and it appears 3.3 is out. However, all download links appear to be down and I cannot get the update anywhere. I have visited Freeverse.com and cannot get it directly from them either. Could someone else test the link and see if you have more success. [alert admin]

DVDpedia 1.3 (Mac OS X)

Do Not "automatically check for Updates"

I purchased this program today. I am excited about getting all of my entries inserted. Gonna take a while... hehe. However, I am running into a problem. I am able to enter dvd entries into the program on an initial (1st) launch. If I quit the program and relaunch it dvdpedia takes over the computer for several minutes, leaving me unable to do anything including "force quit." After several minutes the application crashes on its own. I have pinpointed the problem: If I tell DVDpedia to "check for update upon launch" it will have MAJOR memory leaks whenever I relaunch. As long as this option is not checked there doesnt seem to be a problem. I dont know what the deal is but this has been a major headache for me and it needs to be fixed. I dont know if it makes any difference, but I am at school and behind a restricted firewall. I am able to gather information for the dvd entries via the net but there is defitely a problem with "automatic updates." Please respond. [alert admin]

DVDpedia 1.3 (Mac OS X)

Nice App but why updates almost daily?

I have explored several dvd cataloging apps and have found the interface of DVDpedia to be most appealing. I am currently still in the trial version (10 entry limit) and I am looking into purchasing the product. However, I have only been testing the app a couple weeks and there has been at least 4 updates. I appreciate the work and effort going into development, but I am weary of buying the program then it quickly becoming outdated. When the program reaches version 2.0 (which at this rate could be in a month) will I have to buy an updated version? That is why I am hesitant to buy. [alert admin]

Nice App but why updates almost daily?

Dont get me wrong, I definitely promote this program. It is obvious that alot of hours have went into its development. I also have no problem paying the $14. I simply do not want to have to turn around and purchase the app all over again in a months time. Thats all.
