Yellow Dog Linux 5.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Seems bloated and cubersome

Was really looking forward to it for weeks now, finally got it, backed up all my stuff, installed it, tried it, and disliked it. Sorry to say, my negative experience started when I didnt have enough privelages to access my hard drives. Logged in as root and still didnt have enough privelages. As root user I didnt have enough privelages to change privelages, sigh. logging out after fresh install with non root account was full of glitches where the os told me that some programs were not shutting down and had to force log out. Gave it several more chances to impress me, seems very graphically bloated in all the wrong places, after clicking on the question mark for help and nothing happened, reformatted and installed mac os x again. too bad, was really looking forward to it. LimeWire X 4.12.10 (Mac OS X)

Waiting 235s for sources

"Waiting 235s for sources" You find 32 sources of a file and this is what it tells you! Limewire Folks: Come up with a version that will be useful and dependable-none of this dog crap. You have to admit that I've got a point here. I've revied this several years ago, still the same crappy results. Couldnt even finish a single mp3 with 26 sources and no firewall. get off my screen! Front Row Enabler 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Another problem

In addition to my last comment I am also experiencing problems ejecting mounted volumes (real and dmg's) - Ejecting it with disk utility works - dragging the mounted volume to the trash does not, neither does the eject icon in the finder windows. Sigh. [alert admin]

Front Row Enabler 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)

iPhoto Front Row Glitch

After following the exact procedures I seem to have full functionality of Front Row on my first generation iMac G5 under system 10.4.6 with iLife 6. However, after viewing an iPhoto slideshow and exiting FrontRow, iPhoto will not display any pictures in any of my albums including my Library. I have to quit and relaunch iPhoto to view items within iPhoto. Anyone else have this experience, please leave your comments. Thanks. [alert admin]

Live3DPoker 2.5 (Mac OS X)

really nice!

Since trying this program, i've looked at what some of the other competitors are offering and I havent found anything that comes even close to the quality of play, graphics, sounds, and the whole experience. The server sometimes goes down for maintenance but for the purpose of making upgrades and improvements, I'm willing to forgive them ;) 'good game', 'cya' ;) [alert admin]

Serial Number Required?!

Hmmm Looks like you can only try this beta if you already have purchased a previous version. I wish that would have been explained to me before downloading it and installing it, and restarting only to have to uninstall everything again. Yuck! Should be able to try a beta free of charge at all - imho. [alert admin]

Crystal 2.4.9d (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Sounds Good

After a second attempt to launch it, I am finally able to use it within GarageBand. Unfortunately no success in NiceCast yet for me. Works great in GB and sounds good. Great options too. Very nice! Keep up the good work. [alert admin]

very buggy

Nice idea. But seems far from a usable product. Constantly reports on custom naming errors. When custom naming is disabled, core audio properties errors. Progress list shows % completed as going well above 100% with time remaining somewhere in the millions of seconds before being alerted to another error. I think I'll pass on this one for some time to come. [alert admin]

Crystal 2.4.9c (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

doesnt seem to work for me

I have tried both the VST and AU installations and attempting to use it with Nicecast effects under Mac OS X 10.4.4 to no avail. Doesnt crash but no sound with any of the presets. Other VST / AU plugins working fine. Could be a good item once working. Not sure if problem exists on my end so no rating yet. [alert admin]
