Apple Security Update 2004-05-03 (Mac OS X)

Snappier

My system now feels a lot snappier despite this being a security update. Not to mention the dramatic increase in FPS games again despite this being a security update...How bizzare :-D [alert admin]

iEatBrainz 1.0b3.5 (Mac OS X)

Good job for a first go!

I share the positive feedback of the previous user. This thing's got lots of potential and yet this being the just the first implementation shows how good it can really become a few version down the line. Keep it up! [alert admin]

Dock Detox 1.2 (Mac OS X)

This would be AWESOME if...

...it supported "changed icon colors" for the alert events (ie. hidden-apps style in a different colour shading). Surely bouncing icons are obstructive and irritating, but then again...no indicator is not reeeee' ally the way around it, init? Please please implement some function like that, it'd really make things feel complete :-D [alert admin]

iChatUSBCam 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Superb!

Works like a charm despite the time it took the developer to resolve most of the Panther issues. Only outstanding issue now is the green stripe running along the full height of the left end of the camera monitor (which btw dissapears when initiating a video chat). It would have been a welcome feature to be able to access the driver's settings (apart from the enhancer's settings). [alert admin]

VLC Controller 1.0 (Mac OS X)

This is great

I've been using this for the last couple of days now and all I can say is AWESOME! Whereas a VLC clicker plugin used to be bundled with an old version of Clicker at one time, this one completely blows it out of the water. The ability to browse and search for files is excellent! Keep up the good work, an excellent plugin implementation for VLC that was missing from Clicker :-D [alert admin]

Unreal Tournament 2003 1.0b (Mac OS X)

Not persuaded...

I spent many hours playing this on an Athlon 1.2 with a GeForce 2MX about 6 months ago when it came out for the PC and I can say one thing..I'm not excited at all at how it performs on my MDD 867 with 1GB Ram, Radeon 8500, 10.2.6 and no other processes running on the background. Had this been compatible with OS9 i believe it would've been at least 30% faster (in terms of the min sustained fps which account for the chopiness of the game at times), but hey that's another issue. Overall I'm glad that it came out, but I don't see many people excited especially with the gameplay which has deviated from the original UT gameplay by much too much and I can't say for the best either. This needs to…

be right-clickable when in Dock to provide you with pause, unpause functions (with the dock icon ideally switching from normal to red colour or something to give the user a means of visual feedback). Configuration of the client contained within the GUI shouldn't be that difficult, can't see why it's not implemented yet :( [alert admin]

PTHiTunesNotifier 2.3.2 (Mac OS X)

Great add-on. Btw,…

how come very few of the developers follow the menu bar standards? (aka move them with control key, click once -> move mouse over other .menu items -> activated etc)... [alert admin]
