Firefox 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Great Program but not a Safari Killer for me. ![]()

It works about as well as the last version on my Mac. The pages don't load any faster than Safari and in some cases it is slower. I also don't think it is as responsive on opening as Safari. I love a lot of the features and for some tasks it is better - forms, seeing some sites that are not Safari friendly etc. I will continue to check out all the new features. [alert admin]

DAVE 7.1 (Mac OS X)
I used Dave in Tiger and it worked great. When I went to Leopard I went to the new version when it was available. I have never gotten it to work. I have spent a significant amount of time on the phone with technical support and they couldn't figure it out. I asked for my money back and they refused because it was a digital download, rather than a CD. I just upgraded hoping it would help. IT STILL DOESN'T WORK THURSBY. I even had a network professional try and make it work thinking it was a problem with the server and it's setup. He couldn't get it to work. This is junk and should be avoided. [alert admin]

SunnyMenu 1.22 (Mac OS X)
I have always used Fruit Menu and loved it. I found sunnymenu the other day and it is the closest to the fruit menu experience I have tested. I like everything about it with one exception. It has to load everything the first time you open it upon startup which is time consuming if you have a lot of apps as I do. Once it has done that initial load it is very quick when used again. Apart from that it works very well. [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.5.2 (Mac OS X)
There are a few negative reviews of this update listing the various problems individuals are having. I wanted to share my positive experience with this update. I loaded this update on my Mac Pro 8 core and my MacBook Pro laptop with no negative results whatsoever. Both work just as advertised and I am seeing faster response time and no glitches. Thanks Apple. [alert admin]

Safe Eyes 1.3 (Mac OS X)
This is interesting - a product that is supposed to help protect my children from unwanted material content won't open. How much do you think I will trust your product, much less pay for it when I can't even get it to mount on my desktop after downloading it? [alert admin]

LimeWire X 4.9.1 (Mac OS X)
Replaces Pro version with standard version
Fair warning! If you have the pro version and you 'upgrade' with this version, you loose your pro status and the download site doesn't recognize you when you try and get the pro version back. Fair warning! [alert admin]

LaCie SilverKeeper 1.1.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I don't need all the capabilities, nor the complex setup of Retrospect. I want to be able to view my files on the backup disk the same way I see them on the source disk so that if need be I can find something that may have been lost or corrupted. I also want to be able to update the backup with just the files that have changed, and this does it very easily and quickly. I don't want to have to learn code to read my files. I don't want to have to interface with Terminal. I need a simple interface that gets the job done in a timely manner and does it on a schedule of my choosing. THIS IS THE PROGRAM! It works as advertised, it works every time, and it is FREE! Thanks for a program that does a simple job, simply and efficiently, and doesn't cost me. I know that it isn't for everyone, but it works for me. You guys are great! [alert admin]

LimeWire X 4.0.5 (Mac OS X)
I just recently paid for the Pro version and quite frankly, I am underwhelmed. I am not sure that it is so much better than the free version. I don't see much in the way of improvement. I like the program and I have tried all the others with about the same success, but I still wonder if the $18 was really worth it. As for this update - the installer is broken. It freezes and I have to force quit it. Do you guys test this stuff before you put it out? [alert admin]

LimeWire X 3.4.5 (Mac OS X)
I have used all the various P2P software packages available and I keep coming back to Limewire because it gives me the best results. In saying that, I don't mean that it isn't sometimes slow or that you can do a search exactly the same within a couple of minutes and get drastically different results, because both things are true. But overall, it still does much better at finding and retreiving what I am looking for than any of the others. It is far more reliable than anything else out there and it has more features built in. Keep improving it and I will keep using it. For all of those who feel that the steady flow of updates are a problem, get over it. At least they are working regularly on addressing the problems, and they post the fixes faster than any of the big software companies. What is wrong with that? [alert admin]

Read the reviews. The problem we are addressing is not the product itself. Illustrator is great. The problem being addressed is the update not working. I get the same message - 'can't find the app' - as everyone else when I try to apply the patch.
