Art Text 2.2 (Mac OS X)

problem with 2.2

I love this software but I am having a big problem getting the disk image of the downloaded update (2.2) to mount. I get a warning not to open it. Tried twice now to download from two sources and the problem persists. HEEEELP!!!! [alert admin]

Beauty only for some...

I live in the past and still use the antiquated OSX 10.4.11 and must endure the torture until I catch up with the modern world. but... but... I live in Australia!! We are soooo far behind the USA in so many ways (hehe) and we may not get OSX 10.5 until the year 3000. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO????!!!!!! Have mercy...... please!!!!!! Can't you fix one for us poor backward folks? [alert admin]

Optimism 2.8 (Mac OS X)

Now I'm depressed again

This product might have been so much more effective if it had been free. Now I'm depressed all over again. I can't afford it...... woe is me.... boo hoo..... [alert admin]

UTC Global Clock 3.1a7 (Mac OS X)

Why so big?

Why is a clock with a few bits and pieces over eight megabytes? That seems odd to me. All that just to show the time here and there. WOW. [alert admin]

Art Text 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

I just love this thing. It's fantastic!!!

The very first version was great and it just gets better. It's hard to produce something that looks bad with a little effort. Version 2 is a whole new ball-game allowing for much creative flexiblity I had hoped would come one day. That day has arrived. Bravo. Good price too. [alert admin]

Core Image graphics

I googled Core Image Graphics and I get the impression these are yet more filters for all those image editors where you can apply a lot of way-out special effects like distortion and twirls etc. I am going to be brave and try it out. It is FREE people..... doesn't that mean anything???? If you never hear from me again - well.... you know....... Pieter (a little nervous) [alert admin]

DockChanger 1.3.7.2 (Mac OS X)

It;s HUGE!!! Literally...

Do I want this for the amount of space it takes up? It is bigger than Ben Hur. [alert admin]

Subjectivity 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Objectivity....

Isn't 3.5MB rather big for what it does or as others report, does not do? I would try it but decide to use the 3.5MB to store something = anything.... [alert admin]

LazyMouse 2.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Handy....... but.......

This can be quite handy. I used to have this for OS 8 Classic but then it was free. It is not worth the price for me personally. I will have to learn to do without. [alert admin]

Same Problem

I went to the BeLight support forum to report the problem and I got a reply and they have now fixed the problem, so we can try again. I'm sure it will all be fine now. Good luck and enjoy. It is great software.

Security alert... Security alert!

I agree. There is something basically unsound about entrusting your valuable data to some bunch of computer nerds somewhere in cyberspace. NO THANKS. Buy an extra hard drive. They are not so expensive anymore. If you must have portability get a USB flash drive. They are very handy.

DoodleCAd

You complain bitterly yet you still give it one whole star. Is that guilt or carelessness?

Freeware alternative

Not being fabulously rich, it is outside my understanding why anyone would spend any money on any screensaver. Do people actually wait for it to activate and then sit there looking at it; lapping up the delights of its cleverness and gorgeousness? Would it be rude to suggest watching a good documentary instead? Sorry - no sale.

worthless

Some people are just unlucky and computers know who amongst us they are. In this case, and many others I imagine, that is you. As the phrase goes: "tough luck".

accelerator?

If it included a DL accelerator it would make a big deal of the fact. Everybody wants faster downloads. Since there is no mention of such a desirable feature I am going to guess NO accelerator. I hope that I am completely wrong as I am sure you hope as well. Cheers from Oz. Piet

About App Size

I am the so-and-so who was wondering about the app. size last time. I had no idea it had all those features. They should be listed in the description perhaps. Forgive my ignorance and I am entirely satisfied that all those millions of bits and bytes are earning their keep. Thank you for the information. (I am blushing from shame and embarrassment in case you're interested)

Why Doesn't The Quit Command Work?

I am more interested in how well it runs - not in whether it quits or not? I can live with such a defect as you put it if the application performs well and does what it is supposed to. Does it? I guess now I will have to find out for myself. Ok....
