FootTrack 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)

Satisfied FootTrack user

I have been using FootTrack for some months now, and it just works perfect. It is very nice to have small versions of my whole movies/tapes in mini-format on my HD and they don't take much space. I hardly ever watch the full-size video's anymore anyway. Browsing is easy like in iPhoto, and it supports smart-album alike tapes. Very well thought application; only thing missing is compression while capturing (without having to import the full-sized movie). Keep up the good work! [alert admin]

Mah Jong Solitaire 2 V2.05b (Mac OS X)

Old versions available?

I bought this one for my dad when it was still pre version 2. I didn't update because it didn't feel it was necessary, and updates were free anyway so I could do it whenever I wanted. Apparently a new 'feature' is that pre-V2 users can't upgrade anymore :( :( :( Is there a place where we can download old versions that still work with a pre-v2 code? Thx, Philip [alert admin]

Site Studio 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Exceptional product

All bugs are fixed in the 1.1.1 version; very stable now, unlike v1.1. Author is very responsive and has great ideas about new features. Definitely a product to look at if you are into sitebuilding. [alert admin]

IPNetSentryX 1.2c2 (Mac OS X)

Problems getting this to work...

Indeed the interfaces window would not list any/all interfaces and when applying your settings it states "Sentry on failure: no such file or directory". Blocked pages can still be reached; apparently it doesn't block anything because of this error. The "configure as startup item" is a bit a vague description; it doesn't show up in the login items. So how to disable the startup item? I was a happy user on Classic, but this seems to have a way to go before it comes close... Hopefully a bug fix version will be available very soon. [alert admin]

SimpleView 2.2.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

to Diederik.nl

Several people reported this; all of them had Saft installed. Seems to be a compatibility issue.

Taco HTML Edit 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Incredible...

Best HTML editor I ever used (quite a few!) and it's free. Congrats to the developer! [alert admin]

SimpleView 2.2b (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Jazzman...

Not a single beta-tester or user reported what you experienced; I would be glad to help you sort it out. Always interested if and why a program of mine crashes on a particlar set-up. You can reach me on philipz@pandora.be if you want. [alert admin]

SimpleView 2.2b (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Message for jazzman

When I look at your other reviews on VT you seem to be able to crash quite a lot of programs... No other SimpleView user reported this behaviour (not saying that there aren't any bugs or crashes). I would have appreciated more useful input. Your comments don't help me a single step. [alert admin]

Galerie 2.4 (Mac OS X)

Keep up the good work!

Very nice application. PeterPayne, stop moaning and tell everyone about your 17 inch laptop with non-working function keys; address this to Apple or whoever wants to listen to it instead of polluting Versiontracker with your frustrated comments. [alert admin]

Quickie X Web Albums 3.5 (Mac OS X)

peterpayne, stop your childish remarks

This program is out for a long time already and has proven to be of excellent value. The author is responsive, the output is nice and it has many features other programs don't have. Moreover it keeps improving. Your 'criticism' is not to the point and totally obsolete. [alert admin]
