Firefox 2.0.0.13 (Mac OS X)
I've switched between Firefox and Safari for years. Firefox seems to load most sites faster, but I don't like the way it hangs when saving pages or graphics, and for the start of downloads. You can't do anything during that time, which is sometimes more than just a few seconds. If that could be fixed, I'd use Firefox 100% of the time. [alert admin]

MPEG Streamclip 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
Excellent for converting mpeg1 files to dv so I can edit them in iMovie and burn to DVD. Other apps I'd tried -- including ffmpegX -- either didn't work or were very complicated to use. This one is strightforward and effective. Amazing that it's free! Many thanks to the developer. [alert admin]

Firefox 1.0.6 (Mac OS X)
This used to be my #1 browser, but something's gone wrong with it, as it's practically unusable after being open a couple of days -- slow, hestations, spinning cursor, not responding, etc. Back to Safari for now. [alert admin]

Works great for setting up an online store using a variety of payment options. Easy to configure and update. The 2Checkout.com option still needs work, but the developer is aware of this and is very helpful with suggestions and support for workarounds. For your money, this one's the best. [alert admin]

No problem making a bootable CD with a few repair utilities added. My old utility CDs were no longer booting in OS 10.3.6. Thanks! [alert admin]

Apple iCal 1.5.4 (Mac OS X)
. . . like not importing Palm notes for calendar entries, nor for providing an option to do such that Palm can import. This incomplete compatability with Palm keeps me using the ugly Palm desktop calendar. [alert admin]

Fwiw, iWeb is not free. If you buy a Mac then iLife is pre-loaded, but any updates going forward will not be free.

Nah, you're right. Bush hates homeless people. All he cares about is setting up the world so that Haliburton can make lots of money. ;)

My comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously, Mr. Developer. If you want kudos for being so smart to write an app, fine. KUDOS! Are you sending any percentage of your royalties to Bush? That would be only fair, you know.

Does Acro 6 support links converting from Word doc?
No, I don't know. Maybe other people have better experiences than I have, however.

Does Acro 6 support links converting from Word doc?
Acrobat PDFmaker in Word doesn't work well for me. It's slow and often doesn't even complete the job, but hangs. I generally convert doc to PDF by using the Print menu "Print to PDF" option, which doesn't convert the links. I don't know if PDFmaker maintains the links as I just can't get it to work. A work-around is to save your Word document in html, then convert the html file in Acrobat…
