info.xhead 1.4 (Mac OS X)

Excellent little program

Having used Macs for over 20 years, just occasionally you come across a program that just makes your life SO much easier: info.xhead! Just like the other reviewer here, I use this program for all my passwords/user details and more: bank accounts; email; software etc. etc. Plus notes about each website and function etc. I have over 120 entries - and it now contains my whole life! Well done - well worth every penny. [alert admin]

Letterbox 0.16 (Mac OS X)

DOH! So simple - but SO FANTASTIC!

This is one of those little pieces of software that you just stumble across - and then wonder how on earth you managed withou it. It makes the operation of Mail SO much easier - especially when you have large amounts of mail to file. Well done - I can't believe this function is not going to be in the next MacOSX release! Thanks [alert admin]

Shredder 20050612 (Mac OS X)

**YOU CAN'T TRANSFER LICENCE**

This is a simple piece of SW, that does what it says on the can. BUT!! When you buy it, you are only purchasing it for use on ONE machine - with a specific ethernet address. If you need a new logic board, or you buy a new Mac, you CANNOT TRANSFER THE LICENSE. You need to pay another $10. The author makes this very clear, but be warned. Disk Utility now allows you to shred empty space - so I would stick with that. [alert admin]

OmniGraffle 3.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Fantastic Program

I've been using Macs since the 512KB Mac was released - many, many years ago. This is the BEST and most well-designed SW I've ever used - and I've used most! Well done. [alert admin]

All-Day Fixer 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Great workaround - THANKS

Now I just had the firmware upgraded in the hope that it would get around this bug. But it did not. So this little workaround will be a help to many. It creates a new calander in iCal and copies all your all-day events into it. You run it before you run iSync and you will find all your all-day events scheduled around 4am in the morning of the day in question. So in the day view of the T68i you will see a little 'up' arrow promting you to look before 8am; and you can take this as a 'symbol' that there is an all-day event for that day. Then you switch to week view and you will see the all-day event scheduled for between 3:45am and 4:00am or thereabouts. Now in fact; I've found that I don't want my T68i clogged up with all-day events like birthdays; national holidays etc... So IN PRACTICE I will not use it. When I want an all-day event to appear in my T68i I will schedule it as such - i.e. 9am-9pm. But I have read many postings on various T68i / Sony Ericsson user groups and websites that are miffed that all-day events are not synced; so I'm sure there will be many happy users and I hope the developer posts to these sites to let the folks know. The only neg point is that you either have ALL your all-day events synced or NONE. To get around this you would have to enter an all-day event twice in iCal. First as and all-day event in your normal calander and then as a early morning timed event in the calander that this program creates called: All-Day Events. But then you would not need this program at all!!! So best solution would be for Sony Ericsson to fix this bug! But to do that they will need to change the firmware to allow an option when scheduling an event to be all-day. And I'm not sure this is possible as it may be based on a hardware feature. But then life's not perfect... [alert admin]

WARNING! PAID - but no reply: email link dead

I paid via PayPay to unlock the extra features on this program. But I have heard nothing; and when I email the author via the email links on his website they bounce back and fail to deliver. So you should email the author first and only if you receive a reply should you pay. [alert admin]
