iconXprit 1.0.5 (Mac OS X)
I am a new Mac user and not overly-sophisticated. This application seems to work as advertised. I have used it to change the color of a number of icons. But I have also had trouble opening a few of the modified folders. Perhaps this was caused by this application, perhaps not. In any case, there is no obvious way to uninstall this program. It does not appear in the applications folder, and Spotlight cannot seem to find the fool thing. All in all, it is a minor help, but may have caused a minor headache too. [alert admin]

Stubbs the Zombie 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I bought a copy of this at the Apple store. It has a Mac OSX sticker. I got home and discovered it would not run on my 2007 iMac. I sent them an e-mail. It seems my video card is not compatible. If is OS X compatible, it ought to work, dangnabit! A 2005 game that does not work on a 2007 machine. Make sure you check your system very closely before you buy it. (On the other hand, one of the enemies seems to be a complete barbershop quartet. You got to love that.) [alert admin]

zsDuplicateHunter 2.2 (Mac OS X)
Duplicate files offend my sense of propriety. So I got this program hoping it would find duplicates, especially text and music files. It works, I guess. It is certainly not intuitive. But all in all, why bother? Spotlight identifies dupes pretty well and with everyone having a multi-meg hard drive why does it really matter to zap dupes. I should not have bothered with it. SwitchPic 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
It seems to be causing some troubles with 10.4.1 and .2 so I wrote a note to the developer. No reply. I presume he has stopped work on it. In truth Tiger handles wallpapers fairly well and there is little need for this now. It always had an awkward interface anyway. [alert admin]

VelaClock 1.1 (Mac OS X)
It works. The registration program works. I live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The clock has no settings for Jeddah, or for Saudi Arabia. The little sunlight thingee is hard to read. All in all, HourWorld (not yet available as a widget) is preferable. [alert admin]

My most useful widget. It is clean simple and converts to and from Gregorian dates. I wish there were more useful like this out there. [alert admin]
