CleverKeys X 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Terrific

Installs in seconds, and does what it says it will. Very useful. [alert admin]

CarCare 4.0 (Mac OS X)

Crippled

Crippled. Want to try this out by putting in your car? Not until you pay. This is not shareware. [alert admin]

Pyramid Solitaire 3.4.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Flawed implementation

A very simple game, but despite that it's been poorly implemented. Clicking on on part of a combination automatically chooses the other part, and there's no apparent* way to choose a different card. It also seems* impossible to make combinations containing more than two cards. This reduces the game to mindless clicking, as there are almost no real decisions to be made.

*"apparent" and "seems" because there is no actual instruction on how to physically make the plays. So maybe there's a way to do it, but I couldn't figure it out. [alert admin]

7 Colors 1.0 (Mac OS X)

I kinda like…

it. For learning strategy I think it'd be helpful to see the computer's evaluation of the position. [alert admin]

iGor 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Pretty close to…

unplayable, and nearly as difficult to download. I got redirected to galeon.hispavista.com/, which is in Spanish. My Spanish is pretty good, but the page didn't say anything about Gor. I wasn't familiar with the word "hispa," so I went to google to translate it. Google didn't know it either. I hit the back button to return to the site, and magically the zip file began downloading. Anyway, Gor is sort of bear-like, and he spits at mosiquitos. The gameplay is so erratic that after a couple of minutes I gave up and deleted the file. Maybe someone else would have more patience, but I don't see them having much fun. [alert admin]

CloneShooter 1.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Works fine for…

me. Not a barrel of fun, but it does work. [alert admin]

Oxygen 02 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

I don't understand…

why people are complaining about this app. It does what it says it does. It's a gentle introduction to some of the power hidden under the hood. Many Mac users have no idea this stuff is there. This app might prompt them to learn more. It would be nice if it showed the commands it was executing, so that inexperienced users might more easily learn what's actually going on. [alert admin]

Valentina X 1.9.7 (Mac OS X)

Rusian, why would…

I choose this over MySQL? Are there compelling reasons other than speed? (MySQL is fast enough for my needs, and has a stable JDBC driver.) What should I know about Valentina that would make me choose it? [alert admin]
