OpenTerminal 2.0.4 (Mac OS X)
This is a great little utility - a real time saver. The latest version uses Leopard's Terminal tabs to full effect - excellent stuff! [alert admin]

AviInfo 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Does the job - nicely formatted output giving relevant details, and a copy button. Simple and it works. Thanks! [alert admin]

WaterRoof 2.0 (Mac OS X)
This program is great for configuring the firewall in Leopard. I never had a problem with Tiger's firewall, but with the new layout in Leopard I just couldn't get it to punch the holes I needed. This fixed that. The author's explanation of how the new firewall works in Leopard (Appfirewall vs ipfw) on his website are also very useful. [alert admin]

Lingon 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This program makes an obscure feature of the OS much more accessible for many more people. And it's a feature many people want - to run things at startup time and periodically. Version 2 make things easier and more obvious. Although 2.0.1 still needs a bug fix or two, the developer is very responsive and this is great software. [alert admin]

Max 0.7 (Mac OS X)
Great new version of this app - the file conversion window makes the workflow more obvious, and I can now edit the FLAC metadata without opening Tag. Love it! [alert admin]

MenuMeters 1.3 (Mac OS X)
I've been looking for something like this for quite a while - I'm not sure why I haven't come accross MenuMeters before. This is nice and configurable, and the app itself doesn't take much processor on this old mac. My only criticism is that I wish menumeters had an option to average the network traffic since the last GUI update, rather than displaying an instantaneous value. Highly Recommended. [alert admin]

Perian 0.5 (Mac OS X)
Seems to be more efficient than the newest DivX codec on my old G4, and more versatile. Works great with everything I've thrown at it so far. My only criticism would be that it takes a couple of seconds to open high resolution stuff, but that's very minor. Recommended! [alert admin]

Amazon Album Art widget 2.4 (Mac OS X)
Great widget - works well and highly recommended. Sometimes requires me to move the mouse cursor off of the widget and then back on so that the "Add artwork to iTunes" button will show, but this is a very small criticism. [alert admin]

nrg2iso 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I thinks the reviewers below are expecting it to do too much. It is a simple tool - all that is advertised is that it will take an nrg file and make an iso file. The procedure is very simple - just open up the app, pick the extract location, and drag an nrg file to the window. Having done this, the app duly made an iso file for me, however the file was unreadable by both the Disk Utility and by Toast. Too bad, this was almost a great little app. [alert admin]

RAR Expander 0.8.3 (Mac OS X)
Hasn't failed me yet for expanding large rar archives. I never had any major problems with stuffit, but I prefer this program because it has a real progress indicator. The only thing it lacks in my books is a preference to automatically quit when it's done expanding. I like it! [alert admin]

In the finder spotlight interface, the option you want is 'System Files' to make it look in the Library folders. Look under the popup that by default reads Kind, choose system files and add it to your favourites so it's always accessible.

If you look at that page that asks for the email address, the author is actually asking for donations to download the precompiled version now. Yikes.

The point of this tool is that it not only opens the terminal, but it opens the terminal in your current working directory.

The original comment is accurate - Transmission has been banned on many sites for reporting bad stats. This only applies to sites that care about your ratio (read: private sites.)

This game concept dates back at least 15 years - tanks on randomly generated 2D terrain shooting at each other. Pocket tanks was definitely not the first, and I welcome more variations on this concept.

I don't think you're missing anything. What does work is to grab the icons from the Firefox application bundle and drag each one to the image well on the Acidsearch preference info for each search site. or use: http://www.mindzilla.com/grabber.php to grab the site icons and drag those to the image wells in the acid search preferences.

Oops, I hit the submit too soon. I was going to say that it seems to be newer than the link provided by BoysShouldObey below. In any case, it works nicely for the file I wanted to play under 10.4.4 and quicktime pro 7.0.4.

I do agree with you that down & up arrows not working is annoying, but for that I've gotten used to using cmd-right arrow and cmd-left arrow.
