SlimBatteryMonitor 1.4 (Mac OS X)

Doesn't display time remaining on Pismo Powerbooks

OS 10.4 doesn't calculate the battery time remaining on Pismo Powerbooks, so it isn't surprising that this program won't either. Other than that, it's a nice little program! [alert admin]

Now Up-to-Date & Contact 4.5.2 (Mac OS X)

NUTD and Tiger

For those of you that are unable to use 4.5.3 with Tiger, you can use version 4.5.2 with Tiger. I have been running NUTD on 10.4 in a network environment since it came out, with no apparent problems related to Tiger (just the problems that are in the 4.x.x series that have nothing to do with the OS.) Version 5 hasn't given me any reason to invest in upgrading 30 clients, so I am stuck until a better solution comes along... While the link might disappear after I post it, you can download it here: ftp://ftp.poweronsoftware.com/pub/software/archive/nudcm452.sit [alert admin]

Volume Mounter 3.5d3 (Mac OS X)

Program Does What it Claims

Since releasing Tiger, the mounting feature for remote volumes has not worked properly. Automount Pref pane (referenced in a previous review) does not function at all in Tiger, and is no longer being developed. Writing a custom applescript does not work either, but for some reason since 10.4.1 this program functions correctly. [alert admin]

WheresTheFreeSpace 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Program wouldn't launch

Couldn't launch program - icon opens on dock for about 1 second then closes - no error message. Even if it worked, 29.95 is expensive for this kind of program. [alert admin]

Mozilla Thunderbird 0.7 (Mac OS X)

Nice Product

Nice product, but it needs the ability to put a signature at the end of an email. [alert admin]

How to contact us

As Mr. Murray suggested, I sent an email to the suggestions address with some constructive suggestions. As of several weeks later, I received no reply. While I did not expect a detailed response back, if the product manager reads "every one" a simple acknowledgement would have been appreciated.

Adobe CS2?

I use Default Folder with InDesign CS2, Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2 on a daily basis, and have no issues. I could not be without it.
