Boomerang Data Recovery 2.1.9 (Mac OS X)
Have used this for a couple years now and it's only gotten better and better. There is so few good recovery programs for Macs out there I've even sent letters to the developer to please continue to develop it because it really does work well. I do mac repair and IT consulting for a large, name brand company with a Yellow background (hint)... and we use this software many times over the software than what we are provided by corporate. This just works. The RAID recovery is the only product of it's kind, and the photo recovery is SO MUCH EASIER than looking through 1000s of files for the right one... it's ridiculously easier. Our customer's are happier as a result. [alert admin]

Boomerang Data Recovery 1.0.12 (Mac OS X)
Forget those other 'recovery' programs, this one works perfect. I literally gave the run down on everything I could find and then heard about this on OSXHints. Where has this company been and how come no one talks about it??? Very easy to use, easy to install, great documentation with pictures (you don't even need the docs). Cost is a little more, but it got back my files. Finally, I can do my taxes. (uh, thanks) I lost all my expense notes by accident. You can create these cool signatures to scan deleted files by using files of similar types. Nothing else out there does this. For the heck of it, I dug out a drive that died 4 years ago I've had sitting in my closet and it recovered it too, it wouldn't even mount! [alert admin]
