Yahoo! Messenger 3.0b3.98855 (Mac OS X)
THis happened the day before the upgrade was pushed to me, and there is a possibility it has something to do with the Safari 3.1 update. I cannot see any incoming chat messages with this version of YIM. If I log out and back in, I get all messages as offlines, but nothing during the live connection. Rolling back to version 2.5.3 works, but of course its the olllld version. ANy suggestions? [alert admin]

Easy Numbering 2.2 (Mac OS X)
EXCELLENT but one ittty bitty bug remains.
I *FINALLY* purchased this program. Sorry it took so long! Well worth it! The flexibility and speed of the program have improved 1000% and I am finally able to use it for production work! Kudos! Now, onto the bug. Well maybe it's not really a bug, but a non 'Mac-like' behavior that I think should be corrected, or perhaps add a preference option to enable or disable. Hopefully I will intelligently describe the issue: Part 1) When dragging a number to a location that is not visible within the window, the window does not auto-scroll when the cursor reaches the edge of the window. Part 2) Whenever you click and hold to grab a numbering instance, even if it's one that is auto-generated, the location always auto-snaps to the upper left corner of the page. In my opinion, this default behavior should also not exist; I'd prefer if it remains where it is until I move it myself. These two items combine to mean that I have to zoom way out in order to move numbers around the page, which results in a loss of precision in the placement of the numbers. James [alert admin]

MultiAd Creator Desktop 7.0.4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
NOT a Quark Knock off...quite the opposite...
I've been using Multi-Ad Creator since version 3 way back in the 90's, back when Aldus Pagemaker was king of layout software. It's been around longer than Quark Xpress, as far as I know. I currently use version 7.04 pro and love it. It's stable, and the company is very responsive to customer input. While it CAN be used to do just about anything, I use it in conjunction with other tools...for quickly creating display advertisements for newspapers, there is nothing quicker, simpler, or more flexible. My own workflow is thus: Create ad with multi-ad creator, export to eps, place that eps into the master layout in InDesign. It works BEAUTIFULLY! [alert admin]

Easy Numbering 1.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Houston, we have some bugs....
The versiontracker link downloads version 1.1 even though the publisher's website has version 1.2 to download. Bugs: -The list only shows the first 13 of the 16 positions I have on the page -it thinks my printer cant print closer to the edge of the page than 1/2 inch, even though its ppd allows 1/8 inch margins. My workaround is to create an 11x17 sheet, and print to a PDF which I then crop in acrobat...it works... [alert admin]

Senuti 0.20 (Mac OS X)
Great Little App! Feature Request...
This little app is fantastic. It does what it does verry well. What I'm still waiting for, and maybe you're the one to create it, is an app that will allow me to synchronize multiple Macs and iPods to all have the same libraries. We're allowed to have 5 machines with our purchased music now...but there is no simple way to let each one autosync to an iPod, or even to each other.... [alert admin]

Easy Numbering 1.0.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Is there any way to increase the resolution?
This is a great product with a few questions and suggestions: -It appears to rasterize graphics at only 300 dpi before printing. I use high-end postscript printers and would rather have my RIP handle the rasterization to a higher resolution (1200 to 1800 dpi). Is there a way to do so? -I would like to be able to resize/zoom the preview window more intuitively -setting up the page could be made a tad more intuitive I give it 3 stars for now...though it could easily become a 5 star product if these items are addressed. VueScan 7.5.59 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
in the 'no other choice' category. While functional, this software is complex enough that an illustrated manual (PDF, text, or HTML), or at least an on-line help system, is a neccessity. The included text-only manual is helpful if someone had the time to flip back and forth from the HTML to the program and back...screenshots would help immensely. I give the program 5 stars, but dial back by 1 for this difficulty. [alert admin]

Weird Al's Great Adventure 1.0b4 (Mac OS 9)
for the size is the extensive music and graphics...it may be based on Adventure but it's much nicer. The idea is fun, and it's free so hey why complain? It's not crashed me, but due to a bug in an earlier version it would seem to freeze...turns out it was just rendering Al invisible. B4 should have fixed this, according to the author. With a bit more work I think it will be all set...and in the mean time I'm enjoying it 'cuz I'm a wierd al fan =) [alert admin]

Several versions back (I believe it was when OSX came out) Thornton Lemke explained his decision to charge a fee for the then-current version. His reasoning was that when he first set it up as a 'pay once' shareware program, he hadn't realized how much it would take to maintain some years down the road. On one hand, sure you can argue that it's a reversal...but who else charges $35 bucks only for dot-zero version upgrades?…

Yes, I should have 'un-commented' that, the margin bug was corrected at some point (not sure which version) and selecting page setup now correctly reads the PPD's capabilities. I am LOVING this software.

Version 1.2 is a vast improvement over the previous version. I like that it can now handle PDF or TIF graphics...excellent. There are a few suggestions I can think of to make the software better: 1) Clarify in the instructions that the start and end number is based upon the total PRINT run, not the total TICKET run; i.e. if I ran 700 tickets 5 up, 140 sheets, I set it to start number 00001 and…
