SizzlingKeys 3.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Let me tell you, I've gone through a number of itunes controllers over the years (Synergy, iMote, Youcontrol, Bowtie, Quicksilver to name a few). This is by far the best. The fact that it's a preference pane already had me excited. No more app launching, dock icon hiding, menubar displaying apps. Setting up hotkeys on the other apps is easy, but it's even simpler with SizzlingKeys. So I'm enjoying my configuring and exploring the application then BOOM! A hot key for listing your playlists!!!! (In a nice floating window by the way). Then BOOM! A hot key for searching your library!!! Are you friggin kidding me?? WHY AREN'T YOU CHARGING FOR THIS APP?? After testing this for a couple of days for memory leaks and stability, I will be upgrading to the pro version to support this developer. Excellent!! [alert admin]

Body Mass Index (BMI) 6.0 (Mac OS X)
Works as billed. 2 comments. 1. The images with the corresponding weights seem off to me. Underweight is a sexy blond and overweight looks heavier then the obese and morbidly obese images. 2. I'd love to see this on the iPhone. [alert admin]

Genius 1.7 (Mac OS X)
I tried a few flash card programs and this one was by far the best. I studied for my medical boards using this and passed with flying colors! What makes this program so great is the ability to study subsections of material as well as all the material. It also keeps track of what you've gotten right and how many times. This made it easy for me to focus on my weaknesses. Another strong spot was that you could be tested on the questions or the answers or both. The fuzzy logic worked well enough and if it didn't, you had the option to choose if you were right or wrong. The dimming effect added a nice touch, and I think it helped me significantly. Thank you John, I've sent you my payment through Paypal. Well worth it. [alert admin]

Let me start by saying I have licenses for both. This is the best release for Fusion to date. I've used both Parallels and Fusion, and I'm done with Fusion. Everyone talks about how bad Parallels support is, but guess what? I've never needed support for Parallels. My pet peeves: #1. Fusion kills my Airport signal 100% of the time within 1-2 hours of use (today was 45 minutes). This alone makes the program useless to me #2. Unity sucks. If you're trying to use XP seamlessly then Parallels with Coherence is the way to go. With Unity, you can't hide individual apps, you can't use the application switcher, Minimize to dock works, but looks like crap coming out of the dock. Also with parallels drag and drop works better. You can also right click a document and choose which application (Windows or OSX) will open it. #3. Parallel's GUI seems significantly faster to me (MBP 2.33ghz, 3gb ram, Windows XP pro) I don't use any CPU intensive applications so I'm not sure what the benchmarks would show. If you're looking to run Windows as seamlessly as possible. Parallels wins hands down. Be warned though, from forum to forum, people complain about the lack of tech support for Parallels. I've been lucky and have had NO problems with Parallels (including beta builds) [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5120.0 (Mac OS X)
I've upgraded Parallels through all their beta builds from the beginning. This is the 1st build I've had issues with. After my usual uninstall, reinstall, parallel tools installation; the start menu wouldn't work and it was generally unstable. After another uninstall-reinstall it was improved, but now I can't get individual windows applications to appear in the dock. They minimize well, but all applications are now under one icon (yes I unchecked the appropriate preference box). All that said and done, with Windows XP professional Parallels still runs circles around Fusion which I went back to for one day before I had to switch back to Parallels [alert admin]

Vienna 2.2.0.2207 (Mac OS X)
I've used a few of the 5 star RSS readers from Version tracker. This one works the best for me. Easy to set up, easy to use, great preferences, nice GUI. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for an RSS reader. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5060.0 (Mac OS X)
I've not had any problems with ANY of Parallels betas. I use them pretty rigorously and I've found it's more stable then my native PC at work. This version has worked as well. A few things obsessive things I do with each upgrade. 1. Shut down and back up your Disc image 2. Uninstall previous version of Parallels 3. Install newest version 4. Boot up your Disc image and leave it alone. Parallels will AUTOMATICALLY install the Parallels tools 5. Repair permissions (which by the way never yields any issues with Parallels...Adobe is another issue) This version seems great so far and unlike VMWare Fusion does not have a noticeable GUI lag. I've purchased both products so I'll keep testing both of them. Will see how the final products compare [alert admin]

That's your experience. Mine is different. Haven't found a windows only printer or USB device that doesn't work flawlessly. Like I said before, the majority of online users praise Fusion, for now, I'll pass

I have licenses for both. I've chosen Parallels over Fusion repeatedly for these reasons. 1. Parallels GUI was more consistent (ie windows taskbar hides/appears consistently, I can hide individual windows programs, minimize to dock works better) 2. Parallels is noticeably faster on my machine(MBP 2.33ghz, 3gb ram) with Windows XP Pro. Apparently Fusion smokes Parallels with Vista. 3. Fusion will kill my Airport without fail if I leave Fusion running. All these issues seem to be…

What a bunch of nonsense. Just because you tested Tiger on a demo machine you feel like you've thoroughly tested the OS? Give us a break. Tiger is well worth the $129. On my 15" PB there is a noticeable speed up in the GUI, application launching, boot speeds, expose, application switching and many other functions(compared to Panther). Image manipulation in iPhoto is finally instantaneous. Spotlight on my PB…
