X Overload 2.0 (Mac OS X)
The application crashes 10 seconds after launching it. And why does such a simple application need 5,6 MByte storage space? [alert admin]

TinkerTool 3.1 (Mac OS X)
@makalu: TinkerTool can relax default permissions
@makalu: Yes, you are mistaken. :-) Just read the documentation... The tool can *prevent* the *restriction* to *not* allow write permission. This means if you remove this restriction of Mac OS X, files and folders will indeed have group read and write permission, unless the program creating the file doesn't set stricter permissions by itself. This is not the same as a default permission set, but it should do exactly what you want. [alert admin]

The typical behavior of products still using the VISE Installer crap. When do they learn that VISE has no clue about Mac OS X? There is no icon, no window, no message, just nothing. The Installer launches, sits there for several minutes, then crashes. [alert admin]

NFSManager 2.03 (Mac OS X)
yourself before you make unqualified comments: 1) Although RFC 1813 updates RFC 1094, Mac OS X does not implement it. Apple's NFS support is based on NeXT code written in 1993, two years before RFC 1813 existed. So the specification that Mac OS X only supports RFC 1094 is absolutely correct. 2) I don't believe that you are really able to distribute NFS automount tables to a network of 600 Mac OS X clients on the command line in 30 seconds. However, NFS Manager is able to do that. [alert admin]

HELIOS LanTest 3.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
is broken although I tried several browsers. What does that say about product quality if they can't even create a working download? [alert admin]

Moo 1.0 (Mac OS X)
is also irrelevant in Jaguar, because OSX 10.2 uses it by default. [alert admin]

TinkerTool 2.31 (Mac OS X)
files are a feature of the Finder and it's quite normal that you see them in every folder when you have enabled the "show all files" option. There is nothing wrong with TinkerTool. Note also that the program has a reset button that allows you to restore all preference settings to a normal state. Some people can't read... [alert admin]

@Colonel Panik: That ThermographX displays a so called "fan sensor temperature" on MDD models is a bug in ThermographX. You may notice that the value never changes, it's just a fantasy reading. Temperature Monitor handles this correctly.
