DYMO LabelWriter 7.7.1 (Mac OS X)
Dymo was not prepared for the release of Leopard. They had ample opportunity to be a member of the Apple Developer's program and have this update ready when Leopard came out. But no, they opted to save the money and it took them two months to release an update. There is no excuse for that and we will never purchase another Dymo product. As for the update, it took two installs before it worked. Just like the previous version, it is buggy and a bad effort from a company which has the resources to put out better products. I guarantee you if it was a Windows version it would be a different story. They have no respect for their Macintosh customers. [alert admin]

iToner 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
iToner added ringtones stop work at iPhone 1.1.1 update
As expected I lost the ringtones I added using iToner after the iPhone update 1.1.1 and iTunes update 7.4.2. I was able to do the iPhone update with no problems. The phone works as before with no bugs. I went to see if my custom ringtones were still there and they weren't. So I proceeded to synch them again using iToner and it looked like it went through the synching process OK and I received no error. However, when I went to see if the ringtones were on the iPhone they weren't. I'm sure it will only be a maintenance update of iToner to start working again. So I'll wait it out until then. Otherwise it's a great product and does the trick without hacking your precious iPhone. [alert admin]

Great concept, good documentation and simple operation... it's just too bad the software SUCKS!!! After watching their interactive QuickTime instructional video and following the directions the application over-wrote the favorites file for Internet Explorer on a different Mac with my favorites file when the application was run. Major malfunction and can cost you to lose everything in your iCal, Address Book, Mail, iTunes and favorties for Safari, Explorer and FireFox if it operates as it did. DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM, IT DOES NOT WORK! [alert admin]

Microsoft Handheld Sync for Entourage X 10.0.1 (Mac OS X)
just fine for me. I was using QuickSynch like everyone else and it was OK. Although I had no intention of ever buying it. The Entourage Synch is less customizable but transfers the data cleaner and MUCH faster. Oh ya, it also transfers my Entourage categories seamlessly. [alert admin]

SwitchPic 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
leave such a low rating, but it simply doesn't work with either rotate picture at login or in hourly increments. Good turn-around time with email to developer but his advice didn't fix the problem. Nice interface and you're on the right track but will try ChangeDesktop next. [alert admin]

Apple's ringtones gone after 1.1.2 update! ![]()

I purchase one ringtone through Apple previously and it synched over fine after the update. But the best part is I no longer need iToner in order to add ringtones. There are few steps necessary but you can rename a ACC file to .m4r and drop it into iTunes. It then copies over to the iPhone during the next synch. Your problem may be you need to reselect a 30 sec. segment of the song. I…
