Apple Mac OS X 10.5.1 (Mac OS X)
I have not had one single problem with Leopard. I'd be willing to bet all that are, upgraded from 10.4 rather than do an archive and install or better yet a clean install as I did. [alert admin]

Great way to destroy your laptop
If your laptop wasn't designed to work with the lid closed there is a good reason for it. You're going to over heat it. And probably damage your LCD and or hard drive or motherboard from excess heat that is not being properly dissipated. This is just a very bad idea. [alert admin]

I too have experienced the "mouse movement or scroll through causes VLC to unexpectidly quit" issue. It seems to have been introduced with the Intel version. Since it had never happened to me with the PPC version. Having said that, it is still the best video player and it's free. It plays many different file types and codecs that other players will not. It supports the use of subtitles and has nice audio equalizer features. I use headphones with my MacBook Pro and watching shows on it look great and the sound is near surround quality using VLC. There just isn't a better alternative and again they give it to us free. What more can you ask for? [alert admin]

CosmoPod 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
When you view a clip in YouTube look at your Activity window in your browser. You'll see a large file there. Double click it and it will download. Then drop that file on the FREE iSquint app and it will convert it to an MP4 for you. ALL FREE!!! [alert admin]

Watch something like the documentary "What the "Bleep" Do We Know!?" you'll learn how our own thoughts create every perception we have and that the brain can be rewired. This could be a useful tool for affirmations and beginning to wire your brain to your goals. However, it has 1 big problem. It stops working when it's hidden. [alert admin]

Just open the Activity Monitor (In your Utilities folder in the Applications folder) and force quit it.

If you use a terminal you don't need to type all that. Just type top. Find the number next to it and type kill and that number. But, even easier is to use the Activity Monitor in your utility folder and just quit process.
