Zip Mac Files For a PC 1.8 (Mac OS X)
This may work great and the author states that at $14.00 "It is the lease expensive utility available online to accomplish this task. (compare at $19.99)". But CleanArchiver is much more robust in the type of archives it can create, has a 5-star rating, and is free! http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/23678 Perhaps try both and see if this is worth $14.00 more to you. Document Manager 3.02 (Mac OS X)
I've used this application for the past 8 months, initially in 2.x and 3.0 beta format. Now that V3 is officially released (and updated to 3.0.2), I am even more impressed with the capabilities this product offers schools and educators in general. I had been exploring the use of a similar product (commercial) and this product meets my every expectation. My staff at a new virual high school within our board have embraced this tool as an easy way for them to collect and distribute assignments to/from students. Currently, students can submit assignments using Macs or PCs and all staff members use Macs to take advantage of the collection and dispertion of student assignments. From an administrative point of view, I've had 10 sets of changes re: course enrolments since Sept.1. Each update to the Jaguar server that I am running with DM has gone without a hitch. The only manual function I have had to perform is enabling student mail on the server. [alert admin]
