Connectix Virtual PC 4.3.2 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
is really good. I am running XP on a w2k server with 2x2.4ghz Xeon processors, and XP flyes, but I havn't tried anything too big yet. [alert admin]

Connectix Virtual PC 6.0.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
It seems faster than VPC5 on my G4/400 running w2k. VPC6 runs really good on my moms iMac G4/800. I have not tried the 6.01 update yet. VPC5.1 for windows is really good. every single day, all day. I just love it. Have been using it for at least a 1.5 years now. If only they would release a X native version, but it works great with Classic in X. [alert admin]

try this at the top of every hour, until it works. You should 1st time sync your iMac to a network time server, under Date & Time in your System Preferences, so you know when the top of each hour is. [alert admin]

to say Suitcase 10.x.x sucks sh!t. Suitcase 9.x sucked too. I am staying with Suitcase 8.2. I had 10.1.1 crash 10 in 20 minutes. I wasn't doing anything that was abnormal, just adding and opening fonts. 10 & 9 are soooo slow! The font conflict thing is so annoying, some times there is nothing I can do about it. At least in 8, you could disable the conflict thing. I would rather load the fonts directly into my system folder than use Suitecas 10!!!! I am not using X for prepress yet, so I don't need to worry about that for long while (not until Quark is X native along with every other desktop app). [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.1 (Mac OS X)
my internal modem and/or PPP under 10.1 on my Powerbook G3/266 Wallstreet 14.1", but I could use it with 10.0.4. It works fine with 9.2.1. All of my settings are the same. They are the same as my G4/400 with 10.1 and it works fine. Any ideas? [alert admin]

but this update runs slower in X than in 9. I did a test in both systems. I took a 532mb folder and stuffed it in X with DropStuff 6.5; it took 19 min. The same folder in 9 with DropStuff 6.0.1 took 8 min. Stuffit Expander 6.5 in X took 13.5 min to unstuff that file. Stuffit Expander 6.0.1 in 9 took 7 min to unstuff. Running on a G4/400 with 896 mb of ram. [alert admin]
