Linksys befsr41/befsr11/befsru31 1.46 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

More problems… upgrader beware!

Once again, this latest firmware crippled my internet connection where most websites wouldn't load at all, and if they did, they would only partially download. I reverted back to the last stable release I remember – 1.44.2z, Dec 13 2002. When will LinkSys get their act together, this is ridiculous. [alert admin]

No problems…

Installed fine for me on OS X 10.3.3 – works great as it always did whether in OS 9 or previous versions of X. I love this keyboard. I don't know why people are having problems installing. Perhaps these installation issues have been resolved with the OS X 10.3.3 update? [alert admin]

Linksys 1-4 port cable/dsl router 1.45.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Firmware update problems.

I informed LinkSys of the problems with 1.45.7 shortly after its release. A Product Support Specialist told me that they will inform the Research and Development Engineers regarding the matter. Then they apologized, and that was that! One can only wonder, where's the new update?!?!?! [alert admin]

Linksys 1-4 port cable/dsl router 1.45.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Trouble

I too had a spotty net connection that would crawl and where some sites wouldn't even load at all! Once I downgraded to 1.44.2 - all went back to normal. Beware this update. [alert admin]

Micromat Drive 10 1.1.4 (Mac OS X)

OK for me.

I run this on my desktop over a firewire cable with Target disk modem to keep my iBook running smoothly, and visa-versa. Everything seems to work fine, haven't had any problems yet. So far, I've never had to get a totally bad disk up and running again, but if you run programs such as this on a regular basis, perhaps you won't have to cross that bridge as often. [alert admin]

Micromat Drive 10 1.1.4 (Mac OS X)

In response to "tony4tony"

Can't you get your CD out of the drive as you always could with Macs, simply by sticking a paperclip in the hole on the CD/DVD drive? You could always hold down the mouse button on startup, that should work as well with most recent Mac's. [alert admin]

G4/400 (AGP Graphics)

Installs into Applications/Utilities folder, lauched it, fortunately my drive didn't need the firmware update... I suppose this is good in that I didn't have to risk blowing up my system! :) [alert admin]

This Blows

I also have a ATI RADEON 9000 PRO & 1GB RAM in my G4/400. My processor is really showing its age here, that's what's slowing things down not the card or RAM. I'm looking into buying a G4/1+GHz processor upgrade, that should do the trick to make this game quite playable as well as get some "real" work done on my Mac. In the meantime, I still play this game, but I feel…
