iNeedFlix 1.30 (Mac OS X)
Would love to review this, but like the previous commenter notes: Crash. Boom. The app crashes shortly after launching in Leopard 10.5.5 So it goes. [alert admin]

The Swiss Army Knife for Web Surfing ![]()

This is my ideal browser for tooling around and surfing the web. It may not be as quick as Safari, but the integrated features for blogging, using assorted social network sites and the media bar made this my default browser back in the RC stage. In addition, the RSS reader is fantastic, beating out standalone options like Vienna and Safari's integrated reader.
I do hope the speed and stability improve with time, and hope that the browser avoids adding onto and bogging down it's feature set until the current one is perfected. I look forward to it getting there.
Finally, this (1.0.2) update appears to have fixed the 404 issue it was having with versiontracker (I'm using it to type this) and the Facebook double "is" status message. [alert admin]

Bongo Bob 1.0 (Mac OS X)
It's big... Can't be resized. It's ugly... thanks to a crummy font and 8-bit graphic that has me almost as offended as I was when I saw "The Air Up There" starring Kevin Bacon.
Did I mention the "gong" sound effect? Not a bongo sound effect -- nope. Gong sound effect. Hrm.
In conclusion... It's big and it's ugly and is hands down the worst widget I've had the displeasure of installing and three minutes later uninstalling. Spare yourself that 2-3 minutes of life... move on to something else. Look at your default weather widget. Configure multiple World Clock widgets for times in parts of the world you have no interest in what-so-ever. Anything. Anything at all. [alert admin]

Typewriter Keyboard 2.10 (Mac OS X)
I like this app in concept. The execution is decent enough, I just have a hard time justifying shelling out just over $18 US on what amounts to a novelty application. I'm not a cheap guy, or one who often complains about price, but a corresponding novelty price point (say, 5 bucks?) would likely earn a lot more registered users for what is otherwise a neat little app. [alert admin]

BloodSpotz Screensaver 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Neat idea. Lousy execution. Splats should also drip ... and the drips... well... they're less than convincing. Not yet worth my $5. I miss AfterDark. [alert admin]

Videocue 2.5.3 (Mac OS X)
I've seen this on the update page numerous times since it has been made. This is the first time I've actually looked at the page and into the application ... which looks quite interesting and potentially useful.
The reason I never bothered to look further is because the description implies I would need a teleprompter to make podcast, video blogs or movies.
I know it doesn't make sense... but that's what your description says. Just a suggestion. [alert admin]

Egoid 1.2 (Mac OS X)
I was hoping that in this update I would see that one of the changes would be:
Works!
As of now it just sits on my desktop. I've had messages sent. Friend requests received... and Egoid the big black and grey tiled thing just stared at me as if to say "whaddya want from me?"
I respect the effort and will to make such a tool... but the creator would be wise to stop posting daily updates to this utility until it actually does something beyond block the windows of my desktop. [alert admin]

Montage 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I've been using this since the first released beta -- or attempting to, anyhow --and now a slightly altered .9 release has been dubbed ready for market. As a user, I beg to differ -- especially when considering the price tag. It's very buggy (as noted by the reviewer before me), still too many simple options missing. Example: my ability to choose what element I want to follow the previous script element (i.e. in my talk happy world I prefer to set it up so dialogue is followed by another character yapping back, vs. the default action setting {or hitting the tab button after the return}). If the option to do so is there, I still haven't found it, and it's certainly not documented that I can. Still, plenty of potential here, I do like the interface (mostly). Unfortunately I think I'll be sticking it out with FD and a pencil before I dole out another $100+ on something so terrifically incomplete. [alert admin]

SonicSwap Boink 3.1.0 (Mac OS X)
The fact that I'm required to register with this SonicSwap site just to use the app, and I assume by default (although I'm sure I have the option to not do so) begin sharing my playlist information with that site is a total turnoff. It may work fine, and you certainly can't beat the price... I just think reference to the SonicSwap nonsense should be included in the software description and not buried in the "software requirements". That's just me. [alert admin]

I was having a similar problem typing text into forms. I found that adjusting and customizing the "montotype" setting in the "advanced" text preferences fixed it for me... at least for now.

I do. Sometimes. Sometimes I do. Do you ever comment on anything not created by "Interrealm? "

No. You need to have an AOL registered screen name, which is easy enough to do via their website.

And I'm just making note of the possibility that there are differing perceptions. You see the bookmarks in the program as a "cheap political stunt". I see them as demonstrations that I pay no mind because I (usually) have better things to worry about. How very democratic. In conclusion, you, sir, are hilarious.

Unfortunate/improper Political Slant
The program is called "Democracy" -- something anyone complaining about video content would know little about. It's slant is evident in the name of the application, and who needs that? There are no videos imbedded in this application. There are several feeds or channels that demonstrate how one can subscribe to rss feeds which do not force you to download anything, or even look at them. As is the case with any set of demo bookmarks,…
