Tinnitus Tamer 4.0.2 (Mac OS X)

In 4 years it has never worked!

I have followed all of the instructions and guidance for this application. Nothing! No results! Nada! Now, the developer wants me to pay for a new version because I have 10.6 running when his app is 32 bit anyway. No need to update unless you feel generous. It works fine in version 3.0.6 So, what I would like to see is some INDEPENDENT verifiable third party (got it yet?) that this application actually works. I mean really. I have 747 loud tinnitus and this application is worthless. It is, by far, the worst money I have ever spent for an application. Would I recommend this application? NOT ON YOUR LIFE!!! [alert admin]

Product Manager 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Marketing is what you do - no matter what

On the developer's website there is the following paragraph: "Often a company need to copy and paste the same data regarding their products in a lot of places, with Product Manager all this data are maintained in one convenient place ready to be used thanks to the tools provided by Product Manager" There are to serious errors to this paragraph and because of it, I would be hesitant to download, try or buy this software. Pomola - remember "Marketing isn't the only thing, it is everything" and how you present yourself in a clear, concise and professional manner is how you make sales and sales is how you make a profit. THAT is product and marketing management in a nutshell. Good luck and fix your "presentation". BTW, this was not the only grammatically challenged paragraph. [alert admin]

Passport Photo Studio 1.3 (Mac OS X)

I have one "minor" query...

I think this is a great idea and you have done a good job in your processing. However, how do you get an "independent third party" to validate that your photos are true and factual representations of you and that the proper biometrics were met in the photo process. Unless Homeland Security has dropped that requirement. I know when I got me passport renewed in Honolulu, I had to have on the back of the photos a certification stamp and the signature of the photographer/processor/cut the prints to fit the passport guy. And my signature. And it had to be on a certain type of photographic paper. Are these not requirements anymore? I know that things are pretty lax now that there is a new administration in the US. MacGPS Pro 8.3 (Mac OS X)

Developer's Myopia

As lovely as this application appears - it is very limited in its scope if use. It reminds me of a map I saw years ago, where the entire world was on the map but 99.99 % of the world was the USA. I am sure that this product would sell like hotcakes ALL OVER THE WORLD. There are more Mac users outside of the US than inside. (fun fact to know, aye). I have a Garmin that this would work great with; however, I do not need USA maps - I need Australia and Asia and Europe and ... Get the picture? Or is this restricted because of the potential of nefarious usage outside the land of the supposed free and home of the timid? (Haven't impeached Schrub or Mr. Waterboard yet or ever!) Steps down from soapbox... Seriously, I really think the product looks great but for the limited times I am in the US, why would I want it? [alert admin]

Volumizer 1.2 (Mac OS X)

POS - do not install until it is stable - not ready for prime time!

As in can't quit - even when I dump the prefpane, my disks do not show up on my desktop again! great idea - but it is worth exactly what you pay for it. You show a lovely illustration of what "quit" looks like - but it doesn't show up in the menu or in the dock. And if I have "show in dock" selected, when I "command tab" to switch my applications, I now also have to contend with my 10 volumes. I liked the idea... but truly do not like the results. YOU (GREG WESTON) DO NOT GIVE ANY INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET RID OF THIS ONCE IT IS INSTALLED!!! There really are two parts to an application - install and delete. You missed one bit. [alert admin]

DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU GO TO SITE THAT USE JAVA

Let me repeat that - Do not go upgrade if you go to any websites that use JavaScript!!!! I have "upgraded" and now all is broken... no java script access to information - charts, analysis, etc. I have not tried online PDFs yet... but I will And of course PithHelmet, Saft and VideoBox don't work... I think I am moving back to FireFox Oh, yeah... speed improvement? NOT! [alert admin]

Apple iPhone SDK 1.0 (Mac OS X)

QuitCherBeochen!

Let's see ... one of the most anticipated SDK to come down the pike in a long time... maybe ever! It takes time to download 2.1 Gigs! The SDK is free and if you build FREE apps - you do not have to pay the $99 or $299 - both of which are pretty cheap when you consider the opportunity to introduce your product to 10,000,000 people by year end. Whinging does not make things change - it only make you look childish The iPhone SDK website is laid out well. Great instruction vids and documents and YES the download is slow... I guess it would be unless you have a T4 pipe. All in all, I am very excited about this product and project. How would you like to have been in on the original Mac 3rd party software development. New GUIs, mouse, all of your computer in one little box... Well, here you are 1984 - again. And you are beotchin'!!!! Give it a rest! [alert admin]

Needs an expanded city database

If you know or can find the longitude and latitude of ANY city in the world, you can add it to the database. I have been using VelaClock Deluxe Widget since dirt was invented and I find these programmes invaluable. I deal with clients and colleagues on six continents and often need to conference call several through multiple time zones... This programme is tops... Just because you are not willing to actually do something to…

DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU GO TO SITE THAT USE JAVA

You are making a few ass-umptions there! I tested 150 websites. Had all of the plug-ins (hacks) removed and turned off. Sites did not work. Maybe it worked for you but if you read - it has not worked for everyone. Many people are going back to Firefox. Read all the posts and complaints. I am sure in your perfect world, you are the centre of the Universe. Lucky you! As whole!

One of the worst products ever developed for any operating system

Hmmmmmmmm it now appears that i am no the only one "disappointed" by your lousy product. <b>I am saying if you had ANY integrity at all - you would offer a refund.</b> You lied about the abilities of your product. YOU never said that it was only for Region 2 databases... why do you have such a difficult time accessing region 1 databases - it is just a call out.... and as a progreammer you should…

One of the worst products ever developed for any operating system

You need to make your software work with all regions - and it isn't too difficult. And you need to refund the fees to all of us who have been your constant beta testers... If you will notice - beta software is usually free here... we help you work out the bugs and "hidden features"... in the letter I sent to you regarding our registration - I told you my was in Australia and I was…
