macVCR 2.6.0 (Mac OS X)

Feature Request

I would find it useful if it had "Motion" Record a Selected Region of any Monitor. That way it could be used to record changing flash content within a webpage. [alert admin]

MacGPS Pro 8.4 (Mac OS X)

Barely Improved

Developer claims in his upgrade email: Many Interface Improvements such as: The map window position, size, and scale are preserved when using Auto-Open to switch maps across UTM zone boundaries. That's fine and dandy, but how about fixing window position between quitting and opening of the application? Or when resizing the map window to full screen that the window does not move under the menu bar? Also wouldn't it be nice if the application would remember the settings one checks of under 'View'? Or generally more use of standard Mac OSX keyboard shortcuts. I really think it's time to fix these problems. [alert admin]

Mac Travel Recorder 2.6.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Expensive Copy of BT747 Java App?

I cannot see why I would want to spend $50 for this application that seems to be built on the BT747 Java App project which is available here http://bt747.free.fr/content/?q=de/webinstall . Yes it has a cleaner interface and the geotagging feature and map may be a little nicer, but there are lots of geotagging apps that are free or have better features. However I would consider buying it if the author could add 'auto-connect' and allow for fleet tracking, i.e. could auto-email, or ftp the GPS data at specified intervals. I'm ready to mod my MacBook with an internal iBlue 747 if someone adds data-forwarding to their GPS software. I'm sure Apple will add GPS modules to their line in the near future, as more and more location aware apps are available. [alert admin]

Shadow 1.0.16 (Mac OS X)

Now with "Quick Paste" in the Menu

Thanks to the developer for updating this with a great feature, "Quick Paste" right under the Menulet. This makes sense for fast access to short text clippings like phone numbers, serials, any clippings you may use repeatedly. It's like the old Classic Menu, but for your clipboards. [alert admin]

Clips 1.1 (Mac OS X)

A "Light (less expensive) Version" would serve me just fine!

The only thing I really need is having all the custom clipboards available under the Menulet; as drop-out lists and an organizer to move/edit and rename clippings. A lot of folks just don't use or like dashboard-like panels. My suggestions are allowing for customization of what is shown under the Menulet. To make that Menuletlist shorter and have more space for the custom clipboards. Everything except "Quit" should be under the "Preferences" tab. The "Application" and "Spaces" list should be optional. I don't see a use for them and they take up space under the Menulet. Great would be if individual clipboards could be password locked, for storing sensitive info. Overall I think the application is nice as it needs no application windows or floating panels if desired. I hate opening an application to access clippings, like many of the other apps require. I still miss iSnip, but Clips could easily replace it if it allowed for a little more customization. Thanks for your work! [alert admin]

Shadow 1.0.14 (Mac OS X)

Could be my favorite clipboard manger

Would be my new favorite clipboard manager, if some of the following suggestions could be implemented. Main Issue: Allow the background color to be customized so that the text can be read when the screen is dimmed down. As it is right now one needs to flip through the clipping to be able to read them. It also would be great if one could customize the height of a clipping block to show more clippings in the window. Allow it to show in Every Space. Minor Issues:The Shadow window can be pushed up under the Menu Bar. Scroll Bar can't be pushed all the way up. (Like the space for the up/down arrows are there, but not visible) It would be great if password protection could be extended to individual clipboards that are not shared for storing passwords etc. Absolute marvelous would be if the various clipboards and clippings could be accessed and copied under the Menulet as Drop-Down lists. The "About Shadow" and "Check for Updates" could be under "Preferences" to gain more space in the menu. [alert admin]

iChm 1.1 (Mac OS X)

THIS IS GREAT!

Finally a CHM reader where one can use the arrow keys to flip through the pages. Looks great too! Like a real Apple application for CHM files. Thanks so much! [alert admin]

Clipboard Evolved 0.86D (Mac OS X)

Just Another Basic Clipboard Utility

I've tried them all! Unfortunately not one can replace the ultimate one, which was iSnip. I'd like to see categories for frequently pasted items and everything done right from the Menu Bar instead some window that seems to be stuck to Space 1. [alert admin]

VueScan 8.4.78 (Mac OS X)

Crashes under Leopard vs. stable 8.4.52

I had to go back to version 8.4.52 after trying 8.4.77 and 8.4.88. Whenever I change a setting, the application crashes. I'm using the latest OS 10.5.4, PPC, Pacific Image 3650 PowerSlide Scanner. 8.4.52 seems to have been the first version to work with this scanner and it works well. Funny that the trouble started after paying for the Pro version. [alert admin]

Better one, NOT

Nice try, but yours does not convert currencies. Beside one needs a scientist's brain to understand what it is good for.
