iTunes Catalog 2.0 (Mac OS X)

There's no way to upgrade from 1.x version to 2.x

I have searched high and low to figure out how to upgrade from the 1.x version to the new 2.0 version. The developer's web site says that the upgrade price is $9.99 but all the various "buy it now" pages and buttons take me to a purchase page for the full $25.00 price. Has anyone figured out how to get the upgrade price? ITunes Catalog 2.0 looks awesome and I'd like to support this developer but it is very frustrating that they do not make it easy to upgrade. TargEval 0.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Place your tagret on your screen *after* you are done shooting!

I don't think AppleCare will believe you if you bring in your new Cinema Display full of holes and say that you thinkit was a "manufacturing defect" :-) [alert admin]

This thing is…

loads of fun. Five bucks is nothing, but the upgrade to the recording version should be free for registered users! [alert admin]

netOctopus 4.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Mr. "Mouse", You…

are mistaken about several things in your post. First of all, you do not have to enter any data into a netOctopus client before using it. netOctopus will automatically retrieve all data about a client when you scan it with your administrator application. Secondly, netOctopus uses the same method to get a machine's serial number as Apple System Profiler does, so on virtually all machines with New World ROM (that is, anything since the original iMac) the serial number will show up automatically when you scan. You do not need to manually enter it on a client unless you did a low-level format of the client's hard disk at some point in the past, or the client machine is very old. [alert admin]

Emailing Kavasoft solved the problem

After an email to tech support, they provided me a link to a web page where I could upgrade for the proper price. I thank Kavasoft for the fast support, but I would suggest they make it easier to upgrade, perhaps by allowing the user to enter a 1.x serial number into a form on a purchase web page in order to get the upgrade pricing. Anyway, I am happily using 2.0 now...this is a great…

Still Not Worth Upgrading

If the new features of a product are not worth spending the money it costs to upgrade it, then by all means, do not pay for the upgrade. I know people who are still happy using Microsoft Word 98 in Classic mode on MacOS X because it works fine for them! It is probably a testament to the quality of the software that an old version is still working well for you even today :-)

The Tiger upgrade of Timbuktu is free

Actually, the Tiger upgrade of Timbuktu (version 8.1.1) was a free upgrade to anyone who owned any 8.x version. And the newest release (version 8.5) is also a free upgrade to anyone who owns any 8.x version. Sure, if you have a much older version (7.x or 6.x) you have to pay to upgrade to the 8.x version (which added many new features, including SSH, a push installer, and OS X user integration). Is there any…

Timbuktu Pro Version 8.1.1 for MAC OS X

Ken, your issues don't sound like general problems with Timbuktu, but perhaps something unique to your configuration. Have you contacted Netopia's tech support yet? They may be able to solve your issue, or assist you in getting information to allow Netopia's engineers to duplicate and fix it.
