PodView 1.7 (Mac OS X)
do you plan to support iPod Touch?
iPod Touch devices do not mount to the desktop. How do I then get PodView to see the iPod? [alert admin]

TCalc 2.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Sorry, frisbyj, this thing works fine. Ya type in a number (TC in the top left box, or frame number in the bottom left...), and ya get a corresponding timecode or frame number. The right hand box is for entering an offset (which I guess is necessary in some aspects of multimedia programming...I for one use them all the time when editing non-synchronus multicamera DV). You can "subtract 1" from the result if your non-linear editor does or doesn't count the out frame...and instantly switch from PAL to NTSC. what's not to like? who cares if it's ugly...I want to know how I plug it into an Appleworks or Excel spreadsheet so I can convert my entire dataset. Digigami MegaPEG.X Pro 2.0.5 (Mac OS X)
Digigami MegaPEG.X Pro - great buy!
Spent the morning running tests on a short section of a 64 minute movie which I'm compressing (MPEG-1) for CD-ROM. MegaPEG.X offers all the control of Heuris MPPro 2 and more, with several ways to affect quality and speed of render without changing your bit budget. Bought the package and so far am extremely pleased with it, both with the ease of use and the quality of encodes. I'm a little confused by, of all things, the save dialog...it doesn't seem to be saving my project parameters, at least at first glance...but I'm sure I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong in time. All in all, a livesaver for the compressionist who's still gotta work in MPEG-1, giving one complete control over the whole process, or automating it completely, if that's what you want. I'm running Tiger 10.4.11 and QT 7.4. I have no problem playing any type of MPEG file...I use streamclip to convert mpegs to something I can edit, which it does flawlessly.

Thanks for wasting my time! NOT!
Jeebus, are you guys using English as your second language, or are you just typical high school grad-yoo-ates in Post-Bush Amerika? If you're gonna flame someone and waste my time, then please use some creativity, goddammit! for instance: "L" is for the LOSER you obviously are; "O" is for the Operating System you don't have; "S" is for STUPID, which you seem to be; "E" is for everyone else who can see you don't know shit; "R" is…

Yeah? The supplied link sends you to Real's RealProducer page, which allows you to download a version for Linux or Windoze...no Mac included in the Basic package. As I am not a Linux jockey, I have no idea where to go from here, and no desire to find out.
