Doctor Who 0.5 beta (Mac OS X)

This version looks OK

But let me know when it's been regenerated. I'd be excited to see the new look and personality of the Doctor. [alert admin]

The Decider Countdown 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Half the community?

Based on current polling figures I would venture this widget only alienates about 28% of the community. Among Mac users, maybe 3 or 4. Not percent mind you, but people. [alert admin]

Apple TV 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Internet Radio

I know this isn't the same as what people want, but since Apple TV 2 supports AirTunes, you could use internet radio in iTunes and stream it to the Apple TV I think. [alert admin]

Dear Developers

Try the following: 1. User downloads the one version of *censored*tail to manage them all 2. User selects "Leopard mode" or "Tiger mode" 3. *censored*tail runs appropriately Brilliant isn't it? [alert admin]

Apple iPhone 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Finally..

Pref to turn off EDGE/GPRS when roaming internationally

So now what happened to those poor people who thought turning their phone off meant they were actually turning their phone off? Did AT&T forgive them of their ridiculous international roaming data charges?

I think the iPhone is a cool product and all, but Apple should have thought of half of this stuff before they even had a working prototype. Why weren't weather and stock listings re-orderable before when clocks were until today? Didn't at least one person say "Hey, we shouldn't use up data when the phone is off because sometimes people leave their houses!".

Gimme a break. [alert admin]

Dear Developers

Having one version instead of two. The user confusion caused by having two is stupid and unnecessary. There are going to be users out there that download the wrong edition and destroy their system. This product can easily read the OS version and run appropriately. The developers are either lazy or misguided for not implementing this.

Typical

Unfortunately I doubt your single refusal to use the product is going to put Microsoft in any position where they could validly be referred to as "suckers". However, they ARE suckers for making this product in the first place. Imagine trying to compete with Flash...

No, obviously the real worth of a person is their ability to discern between shale and limestone. How can such art be taught?!

1D?

He was probably too busy getting an education in a applicable field, like engineering, medicine, or perhaps even law. I can't remember the last time I saw Forbes mention a wildly successful geologist. Then again such truths probably explain your attitude. Keep it real.

Something wicked this way comes.

How exactly was his comment malicious? He said it connects to a weird address, not "Oh noes Adium is phoning home!" He'd like to actually know where some of his outbound connections are going. Since you folks know about them all, how about documenting them instead of getting ego-defensive just because someone makes a true statement about the application <3 -an Adium fan
