HandBrake 0.6.2 (Mac OS X)

The easiest and best ripper.

It is dead simple to use. Great features. Visual cropping, bitrate calculator, and it outpus valid MPEG4 video, audio into a valid MP4 container. MP aware.. That's superb! [alert admin]

Opera 7.5p3 (Mac OS X)

Well..

Looks somewhat promising. We need Opera on the OS X. But. The UI is the most cluttred i ever have seen in my life. I almost shutdowned the app, scared of being insane becuase of the UI. Some standard CSS did render pretty funky or not at all. Like macfeber.com [alert admin]

Mozilla Firefox 0.8 (Mac OS X)

The UI is more "mac like" than Safari. The features are WAY better. Adblocking, popup blocking, everything! :D And have a more mature rendering engine in Gecko™ than Safari. At least, TRY IT OUT! [alert admin]

GyazMail 1.1.8 (Mac OS X)

Well..

I like the interface a lot. But, there are for now(?) serveral things that are missing. 1. Baysiean Spamfiltering (are there any filtering at all?) 2. IMAP 3. More advanced "rules"... 4. Plug-in support + Some more Mail.app "bells and whistels" [alert admin]

not good enough

Camino is godd if you don't want any features. Firefox works great for me. Yes, there are some UI things that are not in place on the Mac yet. But if you follow the Roadmap, things will be better.

Hmmmm... lie.

It does read ALL DivX coded video. VLC on the other hand decodes most of the MPEG4 video SVP 0-1 and AVSP 0-1. DivX is just a MPEG4 video codec from DivX networks. Other MPEG4 Video codecs are from Sorenson, Apple, Phillips, Envivio etc etc. You can even play back most of the DivX encoded movies WITHOUT any special codec in QT 6.x. Just put in a MP4 container. DivX and 3ivx that decodes an…
