VueScan 8.4.63 (Mac OS X)

Update Recommendations

I appreciate Ed Hamrick's continuous improvement to VueScan. But I sometimes fear he never takes a vacation which he certainly deserves! I used VueScan extensively for several years with an obsolete scanner and I am just as pleased with his application on my new Epson V500.. But it would be helpful to have Ed's recommendation on whether all users should download and install the update, or whether just those with the particular scanners that have fixes or improvements. Something like: "Recommended for all users" or "Recommended for users of the particular scanners listed. Update not required for other scanners." Thanks. [alert admin]

GraphicConverter X 5.7.4 (Mac OS X)

Essential Application, "Visually Impaired" without It!

GraphicConverter X may can make an "artist" out of anyone who processes digital images or graphics. It does more tricks than the average user can imagine. As much as I use it, I know I am only using a small part of its very long list of features. One of the top reasons for being a Mac advocate. [alert admin]

URL Manager Pro 3.4.4 (Mac OS X)

Makes You a "Surfing" Pro

An essential app for anyone who uses the web as the world's largest library. Having been using for more than five years. Lets me manage my 1200 bookmarks and easily export them to an HTML page that I keep on my server to be able to use anywhere. Capability to validate links is a great feature to prevent my long list from getting out of date. Highly recommended. [alert admin]

Mah Jong Solitaire 2 V1.95 (Mac OS X)

My Wife Give MJ Solitaire 2 Five Stars!

My wife-- a sophisticated, master degree holder and artist and a member of a real Mah Jong club-- loves this game and plays it many hours each week. She gives it five stars. Now if I could just get her to be half as interested in "playing" with Photoshop! [alert admin]

ImageBuddy 3.1.3 (Mac OS X)

ImageBuddy & GraphicConverter-- Great Team

ImageBuddy has made printing photos easy and even fun. You can fill a whole page with images and size each as you wish. Great controls and quality output. "Buddy" now joins GraphicConverter as one of my essential applications and best Mac friends! [alert admin]

MacXM 1.29 (Mac OS X)

Helps Make the Mac the Greatest Music Machine!

I have enjoyed XM on my Mac thanks to MacXM since October. Now with no ads and only $10.00 a month and no load on Internet, XM is a great music bargain. MacXM is fully in sync with develpments that have made Mac the best platform for enjoying music. I have never enjoyed music more with instant channel changes! Outstanding digital quality with direct link to iTunes to buy tracks and to Google for song and artist info. 5.0 quality and support and continued development. Congratulations to Nick Sayer for his work for those in the Mac community who enjoy music in its diverse formats. MeersWorld, Dayton, OH. [alert admin]

MacXM 1.15 (Mac OS X)

Happy with XM and 100 Channels!

MacXM is working great for me since I installed two days ago. I bought the $49 antenna and receiver from the XM site and installed the MaxMX software-- and importantly the separate driver you can get from the link on the MacXM website-- and I am enjoying the many channels of high quality music. Thanks to Nick for making this great music resource available to the Mac community. Highly recommended to all. At $10 a month, the XM service is a bargain and MacXM gets a 4 plus from me with a sure 5 as development continues. [alert admin]
