David's Backgammon 5.8.5 (Mac OS X)
I consider myself a pretty good backgammon player, played many years in tournaments and with hi regarded players. I've been using this app for 8 or 9 years and have nothing but praise for it. Great support, David is always on top of everything with quick response for any question. I highly recommend. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 4.0 Build 3848 (Mac OS X)
Support stinks, no response. Don't pay $80 when you have VirtualBox from Sun Microsystems http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads free and not as bloated as Parallels. [alert admin]

Why pay $30 when you have Google Earth which is free and better. After Google I trashed my Earth browser. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 4.0 Build 3540 (Mac OS X)
Apparently this version is slower to load than the previous, 3.0. It takes more time to launch. Have not tried the Build 3540 which may have solved the problem. I'm still on demo mode for 4.0 build 3522, which doesn't allow updates. [alert admin]

RealPlayer 11.1.0 (Mac OS X)
I agree with Cowicide, I used for a few months last year, it messed with QuickTime, it changed a lot of things in the system. Don't buy. [alert admin]

I've been using Lime Wire for about 7 years in many different Macs and OS Xs, no problems at all. Very first versions were really slow and buggy but it has evolved to a very good app, don't understand why so many complaints.

For me too. I have the same issues, and mine is PB G4 with 1.5 GHz. Choppy and unusable. Wrote to developer for no avail.
