ProVoc 2.6 (Mac OS X)

Nice little app

Too bad, that some people out there are too stupid to read and too stupid to use this website. i think the author created a nice little app which is quite useful if you wanna learn a new language or continue practicing one. the app is free and evolving with each new release. for sure, there are some drawbacks, but it is definitely better than a one-star app. i think it would be nice if there were some kind of miss-typing catch (i think that's everything but good english, but i still have to practice :p and don't know the correct word) [alert admin]

aMule 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)

P2P ≠ P2P

I think some of the previous reviewers made a mistake when they tried to compare the different services. In general one might be right if stating that aMule is more complicated. Although I think to remember that I got an server.met file when I downloaded aMule the first time. But it doesn't matter. If someone is willing to use the app and in most cases to cross the border of what is legal, he should be willing to read a bit more about what he is doing there. And in case you are doing so, aMule is a nice product. There is still a lot to learn from its big brother eMule. But anyways the best app for this protocol. and if you are looking for some rare shit, aMule will be your friend. you will find stuff you do not find on any other network. so take your time and give it another try. Firefoxy 1.3.1 (Mac OS X)

so far... no problems here

i ignored the hint of the previous poster not to use this version. and so far everything is working quite fine. i even got that message, that the update was applied. i don't know what the problem of the one before could have caused, but my guess would be a different version of FireFox. Transmit 3.0 (Mac OS X)

top product

ok, i haven't tried this version for a long time, but just after a few minutes i am really impressed. i am a great fan of column view an tabs. and this is exactly what Transmit was missing. and with this new version it's finally done (and the server2server transfer too). so here we are. again one apllication that makes a search for alternatives superfluous. yeah... i love it. and as soon as i have the $30, i will buy it. damn, i love this app. [alert admin]

Delicious Library 1.0.6 (Mac OS X)

non-US

being from the EU i can understand the bad ratings for DL. But from the US point of view these ratings seem unfair. perhaps the developers hould state on their website, that the functionality outside the US is quite limited, because right now i did not find a single note about the problem on their website (or i might missed something). Ircle X 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

good functionality, bad interface

i used ircle for a long time. but i think it is not longer uptodate. With the introduction of MacOS X and the further development, a lot of new technologies and features made it into the operating system. But when i have a look at Ircle, I do really miss the intergration of these new functionality. And Ircle is missing not only this... but also an interface capable of providing an easy way of using it. Previous reviews indicate that Snak is handling it better... but from my point of view, the best inteface currently available is the one of Colloquy. It is not is OpenSource nature which is fascinating me, but its perfect mix of functionality and usability. Therefore I would recommend that the developers should have a look into new frameworks and probably should look at other great OSX tools and imitate part of their style ;) [alert admin]

Delicious Library 1.0 (Mac OS X)

good start

yeah, just can agree to the previous posters. perhaps there will be some extensions (does this app has an extension interface?). but i wanna add one point... perhaps also add a feature to see which books you have borrowed from friends. i don't know if it makes sense, but adding an item is quite ieasy, and if there would be some kind of reminder when you have to give it back. and perhaps also a collaboration feature to see what other users in a network have (or is this feature already existend???) although this... a good start, but still a lot of work to do. max PS: forgot to mention, that i could not add "Smoething gotta give" DVD, as DL always added this item as a book [alert admin]

Media Library 3.0 (Mac OS X)

user interface?

sorry. i did not test the program, but a quick look at the website was enough. sorry, but what about using the apple provided ui elements? this ... whatever you wanna call it ... interface could be from a game or perhaps from windows. but absolutely ugly in my opinion. stick to the guidelines and provide an interface everybody can use ;) [alert admin]

Curio 2.0 (Mac OS X)

expensive, but nice

i checked out the previous release and was quite disappointed. but right now, looking at the new one. and playing with it, i will give it a try. it looks quite promising. and many issues addressed in previous posts seemed to be resolved. only drawback is the high price. but everybody should be aware of the fact, that the developers put it a lot of work. Love it

I think you can create custom alert boxes. if you do it, just create a new style, and install it.

batch processing

what i would like to see, is the addition of Automator Actions, as this tool will develop to an integrated system wide batch processing tool. using this technique and providing the batch processing items to automator would be the next logical step. at least from my point of view.

Disagree

shy should it use the grouping field? it would break functionality for all users with classical music, as the grouping field is quite important for that genre.

"I am Impressed!" me too ;)

if you previously used Proteus, all you contacts have to be reauthorized, cause proteus allowed adding contacts without authorization. i realized it before, when i used ICQ2GO the first time. just check it out. if you notice th same problem, its not a adium-bug but a mistake at proteus side ;) and regarding the request of selfmade customization. no problem, if you are familiar with html, you are able to customize the message view in almost every…
