Transmission 1.72 (Mac OS X)
when you just want to use a torrent this is the way to go...I'm not going to test my connection with 4 different clients and declare one faster than the other, of screw around in the settings to squeeze some extra juice out of my downloads. This little guy does everythign I need, super simple to use and figure out, and offers a pretty fair amount of options as needed (day time throttle control is something I wish my neighbors would use too) [alert admin]

NeoOffice 2.1 (Mac OS X)
I didn't feel like installing x11, so I downloaded this guy, and I've been using it ever since. It can be a little slow to start when launched, but other than that it works exactly like microsoft word. There was literally zero learning curve coming from MS word Haven't used any excel stuff yet, but I'm certainly not scared to try. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 7.0.1 (Mac OS X)
even after the update, 7.0.1 is a crash-happy pile of junk...really disappointing I've got a MacBook Pro, so your mileage may vary [alert admin]

Blizzard Diablo II 1.11 (Mac OS X)
Modern day Nethack, will be played for 20 years and still draw folks back into the warm grasp of nostalgia...probably one of the top 5 games ever made [alert admin]

OSXplanet 0.6 (Mac OS X)
But after only having it installed for a few days i had to uninstall it. It has a tendency to freeze the dock. The rest of the computer works fine, but going to the Dock gives me a spinning rainbow beach ball that can only be gotten rid of by a hard restart. Even trying to restart throgh the apple menu just causes the computer to hang...if this was fixed i would certainly install it again [alert admin]

Radnor 1.0 (Mac OS X)
As this is just a front end for DOSbox, it would be unfair to take issue with the emulation itself. Radnor works just like its supposed to, makes running the DOSbox program easy as pie, I had no problems with the Libraries that other people seemed to complain about. Just installled Radnor, and ran the SDL library installer and played some X-Com: UFO Defense...I thought i was going to have to buy a 10 year old PC to do that...Sound emulation does tend to slow things down on all games though, hopefully that will be improved in later versions of DOSbox [alert admin]

Battle For Wesnoth 0.6.99 (Mac OS X)
The story is great and the depth involved with different units having certain strengths is admirable...i recomend it to anyone who can have fun without high polygon counts and eyecandy [alert admin]

AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) 4.6 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
used to be back in the early versions of AIM for OS X when it sucked up 35% of the processor cycles just for the heck of it...that seems to have gone by the wayside some time ago...its now everything i could hope for in an IM application iChat is really missing alot...wouldn't use voice and video chat anyway..so no way am I paying 30 bucks [alert admin]
