Apple Mac OS X 10.5.7 (Mac OS X)
I downloaded the Combo updater just because it have several machines to update. So far on this first gen Intel Macbook Pro things are just fine without any issues! [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.5.6 (Mac OS X)
5 different machines from an aging Powerbook G4 12" to a late 2007 Mac Pro, all ok and without issues. Main benefit we've seen is the wireless in the Macbook Pros and the addition of the gesture 'right click' on these same machines. Over the next few days I'm sure we'll bump against the other improvements. All machines were updated using the large Combo updater since we seem to get the fewest issues with this route. From a 12" G4 Powerbook all the way up to a current line Mac Pro no problems encountered on 5 machines. Don't find anything immediate that's better, but at least nothing seems worse ;D [alert admin]

I've been wondering when someone would create an application to DL youtube videos. Great job! [alert admin]

AppleJack 1.5 (Mac OS X)
I've put this on 3 machines, two PPCs and one Intel. Works great and I love having this application back again! It's been missed. Word to the wise though, this is an advanced use item. If you don't know what Single User Mode is (or can't figure it out by googling it) then stay away. Applejack is idiot proof, until they develop a better idiot :) [alert admin]

Apple Security Update 2008-005 (Mac OS X)
So far on several Macs which run the gamut from Quad G5's to the most current Macbook Pros everything works fine. Thankfully Apple took the time to make sure this update was didn't cause instability. [alert admin]

PsyncX 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)
Getting PsyncX to work in Leopard
As many looking here may know, PsyncX does not run correctly in Leopard. However there is a way to get it working again. Check out <http://factoryjoe.pbwiki.com/GettingPsyncXToWorkOnLeopard> for instructions to reinstall specific files and get back to getting your disks backed up :) Good luck and YMMV! [alert admin]

"Right after you switch to Draino, pal" I think we'll let the 'Was this helpful?' ranking on your posts tell the story :D

I'm sorry guy, most of the world ISN'T on dialup. If you're in a country that has internet services, you'll have wired or wireless broadband available.

What on earth made you make such an acerbic post about this tweak questioning his IT motives?? Switch to decaf!

Hmm, very odd. You may have found a bug since I do indeed have a stop/reload button on my version of the 4.0beta from today. Granted, I applied the 'loading bar' hack to get the blue load bar back so maybe it appeared after I did that. http://pastie.textmate.org/398861

So the PowerPC code is state of art?
Or maybe the fault that this patch fixed isn't found on the PPC models....

I'd second the firewire mode suggestion. That has worked for me on all my unsupported G4's.

At least for me it didn't require the QT update to update the phone but YMMV.

I can't see how you could install this and not be fully aware that you did, the installer works the same as any other OS X installer which requires several clicks and even a radio button selection. Not to mention that AppleJack is run in Single User Mode and not when OS X is fully booted. I think what you saw was completely coincidence :)
