Flip4Mac WMV 2.2.3.7 (Mac OS X)
Since updating Flip4Mac yesterday, wmv attachments have stopped playing in Apple Mail. I have to save them to the desktop and open them there to view them. I have the latest versions of all software. [alert admin]

Opera 9.5 (Mac OS X)
Beware installing this update if you use Adobe GoLive 9
I installed this update yesterday and found later that I could no longer open Adobe GoLive 9. After searching the Adobe Forums and finding others with a similar problem, the common cause was this version of Opera. If you have installed it and can't use GoLive, you need to go to users/Library/Application Support/Opera and delete that folder (Opera). Your GoLive should then be able to open again as before. MailUnreadStatusBar 0.6.5 (Mac OS X)
I have used this application for some time with no problems at all. After installing this update yesterday, I found my Mail app had stopped working. I could not quit (without Force Quitting), I could not open any emails in any folders, I could not delete any emails, I could not change any preferences, when opening Mail, most menu items were greyed out and the message viewer was not present. I could not download or send an emails. After much discussion on the Apple Forums, I traced the problems to this application. Trashing it was not enough. I had to then find a bundle it created in the Mail Bundles Folder, remove that and restart Mail. Now Mail is working perfectly as it was before this update. [alert admin]

MailFX 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Options in preference pane missing
This morning I downloaded and installed MailFX. I also repaired permissions. The Preference Pane is present but there are no options listed to select from (unlike in the image of the preference pane on the webpage). Under the sounds drop down menu, there are only two: item2 and item3. Selecting either does nothing and no sound is produced when the test button is clicked. [alert admin]

Fire 0.32.a (Mac OS X)
yesterday adn found it worked very well. However, this morning when I restarted my computer, all the accounts I set up last night had been lost. I reset them and then closed the program, reopened it and yet again all the accounts were lost. Is there a way to save all the account details? Help is no help at all. Also, I can't see any way of sending sms's through ICQ using Fire. [alert admin]

iMic, I found this product which looked perfect for what I wanted to do. However, when I used it for the first time today, I had only recorded a test track of about 2 minutes when it crashed my computer. After restarting, I found the program itself kept crashing after a few seconds of playing back the original track I recorded. The display window also comes up with a time of approx -23 minutes. Does that mean I can only record LPs that are less than 23 minutes in duration? What about MDs which are about 80 minutes long? Something doesn't seem right..... [alert admin]
