Actual ODBC Driver for Open Source Databases 2.6 (Mac OS X)
Technical Support is second to none
I already own (and recommend!) Actual ODBC Driver for Access, so decided to try another Actual product. Unfortunately, I misinterpreted what I needed and purchased the incorrect product. The folk at Actual cancelled the license and transferred it to the product I required - "Actual ODBC Driver for Open Source Databases - Mac OS X" I'm not an SQL user by any means, but the tech support I'm receiving (hi Jonathan!), is second to none I've ever experienced. In fact, if you look at the feedback for most Actual Technologies products you'll see a common thread - they fully support their users. This is good, because many users need this software for a single purpose, and (like myself) aren't gurus when it comes to some of the arcane practices of drivers and set-ups. [alert admin]

Spell Catcher X 10.2.2 (Mac OS X)
I also go waaaay back with Spell Catcher from its old 'Thunder 7' days. This latest upgrade was easy to load and added some much needed stability - particularly with Entourage. In my opinion, there is absolutely no better Mac utility. Not a day goes by that I don't use Spell Catcher. It's easy and intuitive to use and, tellingly, if there is a problem or query the Technical Support Board has most queries/problems answered by the developer - Evan Gross - himself! From what I can see from the various comments here the supporters of Spell Catcher are nearly as fanatical as the so-called 'Apple- fanatics.' So, yes, I'm fanatical about this wonderful, indispensable utility and give it 12(!) out of 5 stars! [alert admin]

EasyFind is terrific except for one glaring omission: the ability to search on more than one volume at a time. If that was added it would be the PERFECT Find utility - for me! It is the main function I require for searches as I have info on more than one hard drive attached to my G4.
