ChartMaker Pro 5.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
this looks good it's hardly shareware. It's Commercial as it's pointless without paying the $$$, and I'm not paying the $$$ untill I can see what is required to put into my own solutions. [alert admin]

FileMaker Pro 5.5v2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
this because I havn't used yet, and most likely won't bother. 5 offered nothing on 4, 5.5 was an update to use in OS X and now 6? Should be 5.5.2 or 5.6 at most. The web companion is still single threaded in the Mac version. Here is an idea of how slow FMP is for heavy web use. I had one App that with FMP took 20 seconds to load the page, the same app with mySQL took less than 1 second. The mySQL one had 5 time sthe searches per page as well. FMP needs to decide what it is going to do, because right now they are not cutting the mustard web wise. And then I can only have 50 DB's open at a time anyway! So to get FMP on the web I'm looking at $AU2000 everytime I get 50dbs, that's $40 a database online. So for $40 a DB I get a GUI! Come on FMP do something right! [alert admin]

QuickDNS Pro 3.5.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
a GUI to the DNS implementation in OS X Server. Bit steep. Make it $100 and you'll sell many more! [alert admin]

4D WebSTAR V 5.1 (Mac OS X)
shame that 4D has nothing nothing about the mail server. The only reason to use Web* was because ASIP was rubbish and underfeatured. Now OS X Server does it all for a similar price. OS X Server gives you an excellent webserver, a mail server, a FTP server, a DNS server etc etc etc. Web* V gives you a webserver. Come on guys, you need more of a point of difference than just a user interface!!! [alert admin]

Lasso Professional 5.0 (Mac OS X)
beta in a production environment for well over a month without a crash on OS X Server. This is awesome. The inclusion of mySQL allows Lasso to get away from commercial database packages, especially Filemaker which is not cutting the mustard on the Mac platform. [alert admin]

MOX Optimize 1.0 (Mac OS X)
5 stars just for the fact that it lets me view hidden folders. Why, Apple, can't the root or admin userhave access to these very important folders? [alert admin]
