SuperDuper 2.6.2 (Mac OS X)
I agree with the others, Super Duper is one of the very few applications deserving of five stars. Not a single problem in several years use. We use it daily to make bootable back ups of our main drives. [alert admin]

Labels & Addresses 1.3.3 (Mac OS X)
Uh oh ..this isn't a good sign.....
I downloaded the update from the link provided. As the pkg. installer launches, and after you supply your password, I received a pop up window saying ...."The source media you are installing from is damaged. Try installing from a different copy of the source media or contact the manufacturer for a replacement." [alert admin]

Microsoft Expression Media 2.0.2096.0 (Mac OS X)
The most glaring problem of Expression is the catalog size is still limited to 1.8GB or 128,000 files, despite more than a year of complaints from users. The support boards are full of comments pleading with MS to remedy this problem to no avail. Here's a response post from head of MS Media Expression Support: "The Expression Media development team is painfully aware that the limits imposed by the current file format are insufficient, particularly in this day of larger and larger media files. Dev is committed to improving on this in the future." - September 23, 2008 I would highly recommend checking the Microsoft Expression Media support boards to see if the problem has been addressed before purchasing this product. http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/media/thread/aa48460b-46a9-45f3-927f-000f20627393/ [alert admin]

Spell Catcher X 10.3 (Mac OS X)
The Spell Catcher X 10.3 Upgrade is free for those that purchased Spell Catcher X on or after September 1, 2007. Otherwise, the upgrade costs $14.95 USD for Spell Catcher X 10.2 ("X102 license codes) owners, and $19.95 USD for those that own an earlier version of Spell Catcher X ("SCX" license codes that have never been upgraded). The upgrade can be purchased from our online store at Kagi, after checking the upgrade eligibility of your existing "X102" or "SCX" license code. Spell Catcher X 10.3 can be used in Trial mode for 14 days (with some limited functionality). If you are upgrading a licensed installation of Spell Catcher X 10.2.3 or earlier, and do not qualify for a free upgrade to Spell Catcher X 10.3, your existing license will work for three weeks, and then expire. Bookdog 5.1.26 (Mac OS X)
Link now leads to correct version. We use multiple browsers all day long at my office and keeping everything synchronized would be impossible without Bookdog. It has quickly become one of the apps that we can't function without. Far more advanced than Bookit (Which has been broken with Firefox 3 and was less reliable with Safari, .Mac/ Mobile Me) Highly recommended. [alert admin]

Firefox 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Changes to bookmarks won't stick upon restart
After using Firefox without issue for several years, Firefox 3.0.1 has serious issues on our machines running 10.4.11 Any added, deleted, or changed bookmarks refuse to stick after a Firefox restart. This is noted in several user postings on the Firefox discussion boards. This is 100% repeatable on all of our intel macs. Even after deleting the user profile, and a completing a clean install of Firefox, the problem returns after the first restart. The bookmarks revert to the previous version. The only solution is to export your bookmarks in a HTML file before quitting Firefox, then re-importing that file upon restart. Weird! [alert admin]

iPod Photo Liberator 1.6 (Mac OS X)
Also note, the license is actually a single computer license, not a single user license. From the website: "The Single License only allows you to install the program on one computer." The previous commenters below explain how to manually set up your iPod to do this. [alert admin]

BIAS Peak Pro 6.0 (Mac OS X)
Draconian Authorization Continues....
Re:"I believe for the money I've paid I should be able to move this program between machines as often as I like, as long as it's not running on more than one machine.." I absolutely agree. Bias has always been the most paranoid, draconian, unrelenting company regarding authorizations that I have ever encountered. I have been using their products for many years and have spent a small fortune in upgrades (more than a thousand dollars.) There is no practical reason I shouldn't be allowed to move between machines as long as only one version is being run at a time. [alert admin]

Wallet 2.7 (Mac OS X)
Not to be confused with PasswordWallet for OS X & iPhone
This app should not be confused with the highly rated (Version Tracker = Five stars) application called "PasswordWallet for OS X & iPhone" developed by Selznick Scientific Software, which has been available for years, and is a favorite of many Mac publications and consumers in the Mac community.
