Keyword Manager 1.4 (Mac OS X)
Warning: doesn't work with iPhoto 7.1.1
Keyword manager was working fine with Leopard until I updated to iPhoto 7.1.1 this afternoon. After the upgrade, keyword manager disappeared again. I have about 10,000 photos in iPhoto and I love this program for finding exactly what I need. Wish I hadn't updated iPhoto. [alert admin]

Corel KnockOut 2.0 SP1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I just upgraded to 10.3.8 and Knockout works perfectly! This is absolutely the best masking program for situations when borders are not very distinct, like hair and fur, or dendrites of a neuron. It is also excellent for any situation where the forground and background colors are different in different sections of an image. You draw a the boundry between the foreground and background, so it doesn't have to use the same foreground and background colors for the entire image. For images where the figure is defined by color or sharp borders, I prefer Extensis Mask Pro, which is extremely fast and I think a little easier to use. [alert admin]

Corel KnockOut 2.0 SP1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I wrote Corel a letter requesting a refund of the cost of the software and tech support on the grounds that Knockout was purported to work with all versions of OSX when it did not. Today a very nice person from Corel called me. She will send an RMA number and I will get my refund when I return the CD to them. If anyone from Corel is out there listening - please update the product and I'll gladly buy another copy. [alert admin]

Corel KnockOut 2.0 SP1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Not compatible with OS 10.3.5 or 10.3.6
I installed this program and used it with no problems with 10.3.5 and Photoshop CS for 7 weeks. When it works, Knockout is a wonderful program - I highly recommend it for situations where the background and foreground are similar in color, or for "transparent" images and shadows. Then one day it just quit working. Every time I tried to use it I got the message "Error Invoking Knockout". I tried trashing the program and preference files and reinstalling, installing into another program (Painter 8), installing onto a different computer, and logging in as a different user on my computer. None of these things worked. After 10 days working with one of Corel's tech reps by email, I was told that my problem required too much interaction to be handled by email. I should call technical support, which I did for $25. The result of the phone call was the telephone tech rep looking up a reference and then telling me that Knockout 2 is not compatible with either OS 10.3.5 or 10.3.6. Furthermore, he found nothing about any plans to correct the problem. If this incompatibility is corrected, I would highly recommend the product. As things stand now, it is useless. [alert admin]

iPhoto Extractor 2.0b2 (Mac OS X)
I thought my photos were lost forever - now I have them back. Thanks Sean! One tip- In order for iPhoto extractor to find the folder I was moving the pictures to I had to place it in my applications folder - the same one with iPhoto Extractor. Using a G5 with OS 10.3.0 [alert admin]

Solitaire Plus! 0.90 (Mac OS X)
Sure all the games aren't finished yet, but the ones that are finished work flawlessly. In addition, you can drag cards up or down and they will snap to the next available space, which is really a nice feature. [alert admin]

Freeway Pro 3.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
can't submit form to get download
The software looks like it would be great, if I could get the demo. I went to the site & filled in their form. When I clicked on "submit". I got a pop-up message "Java Script This feature will be available very soon. Please try back later." This happened with Safari, Netscape, and Internet Explorer. I use OS X.2.5 [alert admin]

Apple iCal 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
10.2.3 I just installed iCal 1.0.1 and it shows the right date for me. The program is much faster than 1.0, and even comes up faster when you open it. [alert admin]

I also experienced a problem with my Photoshop menus graying out. I never connected it to this program. I only wish I'd read your comment before I ended up reinstalling my OS.
