Beta 5 seems to have some issues...

Please, if you can download it and submit any info on why it would not work for you, we need information on hardware configurations or anything else which might be particular in your case (runing as admin or regular user, installing for everyone or a single user, etc.) thanks! [alert admin]

PinPoint 3.00 beta 2 (Mac OS X)

Download acting strange

It seems something strange is happenning when one download's the beta. The resulting file should be called "pinpoint3beta2.dmg" but the extension is missing. Please rename the file to add the .dmg until we get this cleared up. and send lots of feedback our way! [alert admin]

PinPoint 2.52 (Mac OS X)

First beta of PinPoint 3 coming soon

Just a quick note to let all VersionTracker readers that work is well underway on version 3 of PinPoint. Soon (we hope within the next 3 weeks), you will be able to download a public beta and put it through its paces. We've got some pretty neat features already implemented, like animated pointers and such and better control over the behaviour of the pointer graphics. If you have any outstanding issues, with details on how to reproduce them, now is the time to let us know at info@macchampion.com so we can make sure they get fixed in 3.0. Thanks for all your ongoing support! [alert admin]

StatusQuo 1.0b2 (Mac OS X)

New pricing

Before we close the poll, we've decided to at least start with lowering the price of StatusQuo to $7. We think we can bring enough value in StatusQuo over time to make it worth at least this amount in the relatively short term. Stay tuned for more features as we upgrade the product over time! StatusQuo 1.0b2 (Mac OS X)

and the survey says...

Well, we've decided to ask our users what they think. Yes, some people do think it is worth something and a few, like you, think it should be free. But we know of some notebook users which think this is really useful when waking u p their computer. So, we decided to create a poll on our forums. You can visit the StatusQuo Poll and voice out your opinion on the pricing and future features of this product. Let us know, we'll listen! [alert admin]

StatusQuo 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)

Please submit your feedback

Hello there! After reading the previous comment, and understanding the concern, although the terms used were, hm, questionable? We are facing the dilemma which faces all shareware and freeware developers. Should we charge for this piece of software? How much, etc. We decided to charge 10$ for StatusQuo, with the intention of making it more and more valuable in the future with our user's encouragement. But, if you find the price is too steep, let us know by all means! But of course, if we let it out for free, new features will not be our main focus. Voice your opinion, we're here to listen! What do you think of the price? Or, what can we add to it to make it worth it for you? [alert admin]

Unfair rating!

I think it is rude to give a 1-star rating on a piece of software based on the fact that it requires a paid subscription FROM ANOTHER UNRELATED SERVICE. The fact that there are no free listing sites useable by software companies has nothing to do with the fact that this program works or not. I have not used this software yet but will try it and rate it on its merits then.

A debugging file

Just so you know, if you care, the file is generated by software in development and contains profiling information to see how the program behaves, etc. Any beta program could be generating this, soo if ever it happens to you again, it will help find where it is coming from :-)

But only for some users

To clarify, we are not experiencing the issues ourselves and cannot reproduce them. We need more data to be able to diagnose the problem, any info can help, thanks!

Hi there We're investigating an issue with beta 5, but we need more data. It works on our Intel machines, but our PowerPC box is too old... it has the wrong graphics card. Please send us details of your hardware at info@macchampion.com. Thanks! In the meantime, if beta 4 works for you you can still download it here : http://www.macchampion.com/pinpointbeta/pinpoint3beta4.dmg
