Thinking Rock 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)

Great Software, great GTD implementation - ideal for GTD beginners!

I'm very impressed by this software and I would especially recommend it to GTD beginners who try to implement the system and who have to use Windows and MacOS, as TR is platform compatible. TR guides the user and so does a great job, I think, in explaining the correct and productive GTD workflow. The GUI is not 100% mac-like (but that's the price of a real cross platform app) and it is not 100% consistent yet concerning keyboard shortcuts. I'm looking forward to version 2 which will have some more interesting new features and will become Open Source! [alert admin]

e2Sync Personal 1.3.4 (Mac OS X)

No Birthday dates and only 1 category synced + ical-sync problems?! (Office v. X.)

Hi, as I am searching for a solution to sync my Entourage data with my Sharp Zaurus PDA, I have tried the demo version of e2sync 1.3.4 for synchronizing ical/addressbook with Entourage v. X. (At first the i-Apps were completely emtpy and all information had to be transferred from Entourage v. X.) It works amazingly well, however there are some problems I've encountered: Birthday dates are not transferred from Entourage contacts to addressbook entries - is this normal? If a contact in Entourage belongs to more than one category, it seems that only the first category is usedF for creating a group in Apple addressbook, the other ones are ignored. Exporting calender events to iCal also showed some problems: Some events are occurring twice (in different categories) although they were only belonging to one (or no) category. Reminders for the objects are not always correctly transferred. Are all those problems known, or are they caused by the "old" Office v. X. which is not tested any more with never versions of e2sync? e2sync is a great software, but I only will buy it if I'm sure that I can rely on it (at least to 98%) and at the moment (looking at the results of my test sync), I doubt that I already can. Best regards Martin [alert admin]

KopyMac 2.5b (Mac OS X)

"file not found" error and usability commentary

Hi, first of all thank you very much for this app, because basically it is exactly what I was searching for, however there are some details which cause problems in my special situation: I wanted to copy 20 GB of MP3-Files from my PowerBook to our PC with Win XP (via Ethernet). Copying in the finder did'nt work because of invalid characters in the filenames. So I tried Kopymac and it seems to do what I expect it with OS 10.3.9. BUT, after having copied one single folder (and each and every folder afterwards) there is an error message, that the file /Foldername/Icon could not be found. So each time I have to klick OK and this is annoying and time consuming, cause copying only progresses if I klick OK... -> couldn't such error messages be saved in a report which is shown at the end of (or better while) copying? The second problem: a status message or something similar would be great, because If you copy 20 GB like me, it would be nice to know how long it will take... Best regards Martin [alert admin]
