Conflicts with InDesign 2.0.2 *German*: The Fonts ("Schriften") Menž is empty and it stays so even after setting InDesign as an excluded application. The only help is to turn FontCard off. :( [alert admin]

TypeTool 2.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Fontographer is dead, so for us "hobby" font designers TypeTool is a good way to go; the software is easy to use and the price is okay. What I didn't like was the paranoid license registration process, telling me I would recieve my serial number emailed within one day -- after waiting for four days I have noticed an *additional* registration button on the app's splash window (the app was running in demo mode), bringing me to yet another form on Fontlab's web site and letting me typing all my personal data (that I have given them already while purchasing the software online) once again. Then, finally, a couple of hours later I have recieved the serial. Also note: the serial number obviously belongs to the exact copy of the installer; if your backup copy of the installer you have downloaded would get lost you will have to pay a *fee* for the permission to download a new installer. Oh well... [alert admin]

Path Finder 2.1.1 (Mac OS X)
is still needed for a couple of tasks, this update makes a great application even better. E.g. the support for Labels X names and colors is a welcome addition. [alert admin]

DJ-1800 1.0b4 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
software where the Form follows the Function and not vice versa. I have tried them all, from Tactile to Traktor and anything inbetween, and DJ-1800 is the first one that works in a way an *analogue* DJ would expect (even though I still keep on working with 99% vinyl and I actually hate Denon CD players...). This one is not about "how many more gimmicks can we implement in an already bloated software", it's more about "take your iBook and leave your big fat & insanely heavy record box at home". The documentation is excellent and the price is fantastic. I'm impressed! [alert admin]

There's still a conflict with Illustrator 10.0.3 (German). Some fonts don't show up in the menu, some will crash Illustrator (they won't if FontCard is disabled globally).
